Premier Inn Derry / Londonderry hotel

Hotel was located at a very convenient place. Ample parking lots. Room was clean but the bed was too soft for my back.

WAITED 1 HR FOR so called ASSESSABLE ROOM. NO apologies offered. Travelled 80 miles with 93 yr old mother with dementia. 1 staff for 60 bedded hotel. Tea coffee -only 2 sachets provided for 2 day stay.Room inadequate:beds too low and dangerous for 93 yr old to rise from. Only shower in a bath ..again unsafe for 93 yr old to step in to. 9 inch gap between beds .. Slow leak below sink. Bath tap was sticking and panic that bath would overflow as turning the tap did not stop the max flow from it. Summoned help.

When pulled up thought it was closed, ****s and long grass everywhere not great first impressions. Staff were nice, room basic which is what I expected for price, comfy double bed but one child was on camp bed which wasn't comfy, awful smell in room from?? Aircon windows couldn't be opened. Definitely wouldn't stay in preimer inn again. Hotel itself run down looking and smelly, needs money spent on it, only we had children with us would have left during the night as couldn't sleep with smell and was very hot. Room itself was clean enough

Carpet in room was filthy despite booking a twin room was allocated a double which we had the hassle of changing the twin room was in fact a double bed and a put you up which was rock hard worst nights sleep in ages

Very poor internet. Kettle full of tea when I arrived. The room my room banging thumbing until the late hours. Worst night sleep ever in a Premier Inn. No staff available to raise any issues or questions

We stayed here for 2 nights and the minute we walked in we were greeted by Sam who was very polite and chatty.We did have a slight problem getting into our room, but Sam sorted it out very quickly for us.Room was clean and tidy, but I think there wasn't enough tea or coffee sachets and milk as my husband does like to have a cuppa throughout the day,i did have to go down and get some more.While we were there we did get a good nights sleep very quiet which we liked. I did tell a member of staff that I had trouble getting out of the bath as the handles weren't curved enough and were cutting into my hands underneath. Now the restaurant... It's was nice and quiet bar was nice too.We did have a evening meal, but the manager said there were a few things that were unavailable on the menu, so it was abit unlimited of what we could eat that night. The last day we were there my husband had the full English breakfast and I had the continental breakfast and we both enjoyed that b4 going home. Would I stay here again oh def, and if u decide to take a taxi into the city it's only about 10mins drive, and I would def recommend city cabs they were on time😁

We really liked this hotel - it's a short drive into/out of Derry, easy to get to/from the main road, has a large free car park and it's a pleasant shortish walk along the edge of a residential area (ie not next to the busy A-road) to a nearby shopping centre, with M&S food, McDonalds etc if that's what you need or want. Staff were friendly, breakfast was up to standard, room was fine and the A/C worked as it should. If you're visiting Derry I'd recommend this as a good place to stay
