Hyatt Place Lubbock

The hotel itself was nice. The gents at the front desk were friendly and courteous. Nice snacks if you need a quick bite. Beds comfy and rooms, although a touch small have a nice little lounging couch and ample storage space. The visit started off great, however, around 12pm we experienced knocking at our door which turned out to be drunk college kids at the wrong room. Ok. It happens. Around 1am the EXTREMELY loud talking begins. The walls at this hotel are like paper, as are the doors, so my family got to relive our college years all night long (music, thumping which shook our room, and a thorough lesson on “how she likes it”) until they finally took a nap around 4am, then they were back at it again at 6am. We paid extra to be on a high floor to avoid noise, so that was terribly disappointing to have such a sleepless night. We debated calling front desk, but we could hear noise from all around, so we honestly weren’t sure who to call the front desk on. Hotel is great, as long as you aren’t a light to medium sleeper. My son who can and has slept through tornadoes was fine.

Everything was great, but I just felt this style of bathroom door would not work for us (frosted glass, did not close all the way, did not lock).

I was disappointed not to get adjoining rooms after calling 3 days before and the morning of. The rooms were given to a sports team that morning. Why? When it was in my notes!

Convenient location, clean, nice pool, bed was terrible, needed to be replaced due to being blown out on one side. Shower was pretty bad took several minutes to get hot water and shower heads were very clogged.

Right next to TTU. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Parking was almost full the first night but they patrol and tow away non guests so there are spaces.

This is a great hotel. Our unique complaint was that we ask for a room with a sofa bed, and the mattress on it was not comfortable at all, poor my daughter who slept there.

I had a car problem and could not go to Lubbock for my business meeting. Since I already virtually used my reservation for being absence, I thought I could get my Hyatt points for my valid reservation made through *******. Hyatt's Michael said I were not eligible because the reservation was made through *******. He was very uncooperative to offer assistance on the phone, it happened on Thursday at approximately 4pm CST. Unlike his other colleagues I had spoken with previously on the same day yesterday, and at previous stays at this location. I think Hyatt failed to train their staff on their customer service policy.

Overall, the stay was okay. No microwaves in the rooms. You have to go down to the lobby to use one … not good when you’re on the FOURTH FLOOR! No tissue in the room! I would not come back to this hotel.

Very clean hotel. Customer service is always good. Location is perfect for all things Lubbock!
