This is the third time we have stayed at Mackworth House Farm, and as always, it was the perfect stop-over. The hosts are friendly and welcoming, immediately making you feel at home. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the quiet surroundings contribute to a perfect night’s sleep, then a plentiful continental-style breakfast helps to set you up for the day!

Lovely stay at Mackworth House Farm. We stayed in emerald room which was lovely with great views. Were made to feel very welcome by Peter who was an excellent host. Would highly recommend and will stay again if in the area.

Mackworth House Farm B&B is excellent and in a lovely location. The Topaz room was very nice and large and very clean, as was the bathroom we had sole use of. The continental breakfast was great and there was a good choice of times to select to have it. Peter and Al were excellent hosts and very helpful and friendly. We will definitely be booking again and would highly recommend.

If you’re looking for or expecting the Ritz then this place isn’t for you. If you are after a good nights sleep guaranteed then I’d heartily recommend this place. Zero noise pollution, zero light pollution, comfortable bed, spacious room, warm friendly welcome and service. A fab little hideaway.

Room a good size and nicely decorated. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Nice hosts. Good instructions and advice on where to eat. Nice countryside retreat on a farm. Good room and bathroom facilities. Some farm noise, but what is expected when staying on a farm location. Would definitely stay again.

What a great last minute find Couldn't fault it in any way Great facilities, great hosts and a great location We booked the Amber Suite which gave us the whole floor The bed was superb Lots of lovely pubs and restaurants near by Will be back soon

Peter made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived and the room was immaculate, warm and comfortable with lovely views over the farm and meadows. The B&B has so many quirks and is well located close to amenities but also within beautiful countryside- it was perfect for us as we attended a wedding around the corner at The Farmhouse. Plenty of options for continental breakfast which kept us going for the day! Thank you for an enjoyable stay- we will be back! Adele

Peter very helpful and friendly. Old world charm No en suite but bathroom next door and we knew that when we booked it. We were given excellent directions and they were needed. As it’s a farm don’t go in white shoes or put coverings over them. We went when there had been a lot of rain!

Fab place! Really clean and comfortable! Really close to derby city centre. Very friendly and a lovely B and B! Stayed in the emerald room and it was spacious, lovely view and clean. Bed was large and comfortable. Enjoyed the breakfast and meeting other guests!
