Taj Madikeri Resort & Spa Coorg

We recently stayed at Taj Madikeri, Coorg, and had a wonderful experience. The staff were warm, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The ambience is stunning, nestled in lush greenery with peaceful views. The Buddha Garden is especially calming, and we also enjoyed kayaking, which was a great experience. Our room was spacious, beautifully designed, and spotlessly clean. The Fern Tree offered excellent food; everything was fresh and flavourful, with the cottage cheese steak and chocolate marquise being standouts. Overall, our stay at Taj Madikeri was truly memorable. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for luxury, comfort, and exceptional hospitality in Coorg.

Nice laid back holiday at this expansive property . We were welcomed with a lovely coorgi coffee with jaggery . And very sweetly were upgraded to the next category room . All the rooms Are huge and almost like standalone cottages . There was so much to do at this huge property that we didn’t need to get out for four days . Lovely 2pools , a spa , gym . Zip lining , wonderful nature trails and many more things Hospitality as usual was top notch . Special mention to sakshm and Nisar at the hive bar and Christopher during breakfast . We had a lovely time .

Excellent stay we stayed here for 3 nights for my wife's Birthday hospitality is superb location food and all was excellent chief Rohit made as feel like home made us all delicious food don't miss Grills restaurant superb ambiance and food seven layer desert

Overall experience was fabulous. Strongly recommended place to be at. All the support functions were super with a personal touch by the staff. Of course the food & beverages were par excellence Should you plan a vacation do not miss the activities at the resort.

To The General Manager Taj Madikeri Resort & Spa, Coorg Subject: Extremely Pathetic Hotel Experience – Request for Immediate Attention Dear Sir, I am writing to share my very disappointing experience during my recent stay at your property. We checked in on 18th September and were allotted rooms 505 and 506. From the moment we arrived, our experience was below expectations of the Taj brand: 1. Transport from Reception to Rooms: We were taken in a modified jeep with extremely narrow seats. The ride was bumpy, highly uncomfortable, and certainly not what one expects from a luxury property. Taj should use better, more comfortable vehicles to minimize the discomfort of guests traveling across the resort. 2. Room Access Issue: Upon arrival at 8:00 PM, the jeep dropped us and left. Unfortunately, both our room keys did not work. We were stranded in a remote area with no way to contact reception, as no phone number was provided and there was no house phone near the cottages. This situation left us frightened and helpless. Only because the driver luckily heard our calls and returned were we able to eventually get assistance. Such an incident is unacceptable and a serious lapse in guest safety and service. 3. Room Quality & Maintenance: The rooms were very ordinary in décor and facilities. Coming directly from a stay at Marriott in the same city, where we were charged ₹30,000 per night, we expected Taj—charging ₹40,000 per night—to offer a superior experience. Instead, the cottages looked neglected, with paint peeling on the exteriors and interiors that lacked refinement. 4 The Room entry paints were chipped and outside wall full of fungus and grass no maintenance outside cottage Overall, the experience was more like that of an average resort, not a luxury Taj property. My Suggestions for Immediate Improvement: • Provide comfortable and safe transport for guests within the resort. • Ensure that drivers wait until guests successfully enter their rooms before leaving. • Install house phones outside every cottage for emergencies and quick access to reception. Frankly, unless significant improvements are made, the Taj brand name should not be associated with this property, as it does not reflect the standards of luxury, comfort, and safety that Taj Hotels are known for. I urge you to take corrective measures immediately. Otherwise, guests like us will certainly rethink staying at Taj properties in the future. Sincerely, Rajendra singhi

Amazing property and the stretch of property is huge. The villas are secluded and have privacy. The view from the property is great. The staff is very jolly and helpful. Thank you Taj for the hospitality
