Myself qand my Partner absolutely loved our stay. Highlights include the view from the Bar situated out front, great for cocktails before dinner and after as well. Housekeeping were perfect and always on the ball. The room was spacious with a great shower, we had a side room overlooking pool and sea. Great sized Balacony. The town itself is walking distance from the hotel, but also many bars along the sea front on both the beach side of the road and opposite if you want to venture out. Plenty of Tours on offer, to Capri, Pompei, and vesuvius if you don't mind paying extra and most pick up near the htoel. (take the ferry to Capri, we took a boat tour and the transfer was by speedboat, great if you can handle it, but not for the faint hearted) The only thing stopping me giving the Hotel a full 5 starts is one thing, The restaurant is letting the side down. The breakfast offers lots of choise and is very nice, the evening meals are varied as well. But the dining room lacks any ambience (a hotel called RPH down the road we noticed offers eveing meals outside by candel light, very nice) and for some reason they offer lots of bread at dinner but only 1 butter. The oilss and balsamic for the bread are only ever offered to the Itlalian guests for use, as is the parmesan, like they are closely guarded state secrets. At lunch one day (which we paid extra for) i decided to dare to ask if i can have parmesan on my pasta course, the Maitre D' was very quick to contradict me saying it was not required as i was having a prawn pasta it wouldn't be nice, seriously why am i fighting for parmesan? Eventually he gave in and it was nice on the pasta. The whole event of him repremanding my choice drew a lot of attention from the other guests i was quite mortified, as far as i am aware the restaurant is not michelin starred so if a guest asks for something even if you personally think its not required, you should honour what the guest has requested. Prior to this On my second night of stay as i was leaving the restaurent i stupidly said Buenas Noches instead of buona sera, i knew the difference i was just tired it was and it was a slip, well the same Maitre D' corrected me again in a firm tone in front of the whole restaurant, not neccassary in anyway. So in summery its a great place but your Maitre D' needs to chill out and Brits love parmasan and olive oil too, please offer it to your guests at dinner.
