Hotel Ani

Small, intimate boutique style hotel in town with stunning mountain backdrop. Modern in design with cool deck and pool area. Only about 20 or so rooms, so opposite of large soulless chain hotels and was just perfect. Rooms a good size (we were in Superior double) and non smoking (aside from balcony) but note, not all have balconies. All furniture in rooms good quality, bed, pillows and duvets very comfortable (one duvet each person on a kingsize bed - great idea!) good size shower room with rainfall shower shampoo/gel/robes/slippers all supplied. Posiedon must have been miserable when we arrived as the weather we had was unusually poor for May, so also used sauna, gym and Jacuzzi a few times - very nice, again real quality kit. There is also a good sized car park (we did not use so unsure if guests pay ?) Hotel is in great location, close to beaches, walking paths and about a 10 minute walk to old town, which would be good in high season as town gets very busy it seems. Myriad of bars and restaurants close by, we tried a few and all pretty decent. The hotel staff were great, outstanding! The reception girls, the breakfast table staff, the room maids, all could not have done more to help within the hotel and good local knowledge. Will return for sure to hopefully see area in better weather! Thanks Again…

Hotel Ani. A Jewel in Makarska’s crown. So, what can be said about Hotel Ani? First of all it’s deliciously comfortable, the loungers by the pool, the sofa’s in the shade, the hot tub, the sauna, the gym, the breakfasts, all fabulous. The rooms themselves are blessed with views of the ocean and of course the incredible Croatian mountains that took our breath away every time we saw them. We could sit on the balcony and watch the sun go down, or even on one night a spectacular thunderstorm. It is five minutes from the beach (if that) and a lovely walk down the promenade takes you to the marina if you do desire. But as with all things what made the stay even more special was the incredible hospitable, courteous and friendly staff who constantly went above and beyond, so much so we bought them a parting gift before we left. Thank you Darja, the plate on arrival was very much appreciated. Both yourself and Marijana made our stay welcoming. Stay at hotel Ani for a week, take it with you for the rest of the year.

Great hotel with nice rooms, unfortunately with carpet, but super clean and pleasant. Nice small pool and good breakfast. Fresh egg dishes are great. There is still room for improvement in the coffee. The location is a bit outside the center, but it can be reached with a nice walk along the waterfront. Swimming in the sea is five minutes away.

Ani Hotel made a great impression on my and my wife. It is a superb hotel for adults. Nice rooms with nice furniture. The cleaning was impeccable. Great common areas and architecture. However, a hotel gets its soul from the staff, and the staff was superb in getting us as guests, feeling at home. Hotel Ani is a place to where we will return.

Stayed at this hotel for 5 days and wouldn't change a thing! I proposed to my partner on this trip and this hotel made my time so special. First class service, first class rooms and just perfect all round. The receptionists are all amazing and genuinely great people. Would definitely stay here again. Location is great as its only a 4 minute walk to the beach. Beds are super comfy, rooms are big and the views are to die for. The gym is perfect too. Honestly such a beautiful and quiet hotel. 10/10

We spent 2 weeks at the hotel and can’t fault it. The staff were excellent and helped with all our needs and would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a quiet hotel with friendly staff. The rooms were clean and spacious and the cleaning staff were in and out in quick time. It was close to the beach and all the bars and restaurants on the promenade. Again we would like to highlight the staff which made us feel so welcome and had always time to chat each day, arranged trips for us, recommended restaurants, places to go see, they really couldn’t have been more helpful, we would like to give a special thanks to (doctor) Darija who helped my husband with his sore shoulder with ice packs and instructions to make sure he followed her advice to help with the pain, even though is was a struggle to get him to do it, thank you, if you are looking for a small quiet hotel to relax then this is the place.

Hotel Ani is a beautiful hotel with the most serviceminded and professional staff! Thankyou guys, we love you! 💖 The hotel is very clean, and the breakfast is amazing. It's only a 3 minute walk to the beach. We'll definitely come back! 😃 We strongly recommend this hotel. 😃

Excellent hotel, everything was amazing. It’s a smaller hotel but everything was classy and modern, and because it’s smaller the staff had time for every visitor. Very helpful & nice staff. Very clean and amazing breakfast.

Stayed at this property for 4 nights in July ( 2023). Striking about this hotel is the attention to detail in design, the cleanliness and how well it is run. Everything is done just right down the smallest detail. The staff are professional, pleasant and helpful. I was told that is is 6 years old. Would have guessed it was 2-3 years old... that is how well it is kept.
