Margaritaville Vacation Club by Wyndham - Rio Mar

Our family rented an entire house within the resort property. We were there for a family reunion. The house was amazing. It had seven rooms and eight bathrooms. It even had a cute apartment in the basement where my wife and I stayed and it offered us a nice privacy element. The house had all the bells and whistles including a cute pool and amazing views. The kitchen was huge as well as a the dining area having a 12 seat dining room table with a huge island for more seating space. We had some excellent family cooked meals and this area just provided a nice environment. The house since it is located within the resort also enjoyed the amenities of the hotel such as a gorgeous beach to yourself - literally - and an amazing pool as well as some fine restaurants on the property. I spent some quality time on the beach where literally there was no one close to me or around me. The property is close to several shopping places, the rain forest and close distance to two beautiful islands that every tourist should visit: Culebra (has one of the 10 most beautiful beaches in the world - Flamenco Beach) and Vieques. I would recommend this resort and check out some of the properties that are on the resort via VRBO or AIRBNB as they offer a little more privacy. This resort is very family friendly and you will truly enjoy the beach, the views and the peace that is experienced in this place.

I can not say enough about this resort. Our bartender, Xavier, was the absolute BEST! Fast at getting our drinks. He recommended several places near to eat, ride horses on the beach, shopping. He is amazing. Hate to be going home tomorrow! Alexis and Julian at Roots were great too!

Rafael and Ruben were very helpful, put out the chairs and umbrellas and tables as I requested everyone is so friendly here The only thing is the three fancier restaurants are fairly expensive. Not that the food is not good or it’s fine dining for sure.

One of our favorite resorts. The staff is always warm and welcoming. Shout out to Joel Verdejo at the beach. Great service with a huge smile. The room are beautiful and clean. Views are amazing. The swim up bar is a must. Many restaurants to choose from on site.

I truly enjoyed our trip from the time we were greeted by Marisol at the from desk until it was our last day and we ate lunch in the restaurant with M. Williams and they sang happy birthday to me! I went on a girls trip and the staff was very friendly and helpful. When we went on the beach Joel helped us practice our Spanish and all the fitness instructors were polite during the classes. I did the Latin classes and all the resort activities and has a blast! Edwin and Elion gave us great ideas on excursions and restaurants to visit in the area and they did not disappoint. If you are looking for a place to get away I would choose here again. Even though I prefer an all inclusive I would say they food was pricey but delicious.

A great 5 days. We’re timeshare owners. Our first time at Margaritaville. Shout out to Marisol and Sassi- front desk agents. I saw Marisol every day. She always wore a smile. Eddie, maintenance, fixed our AC. The AC sensor in 5103 needed new battery. The room started to smelled musty. The room service agent who was working at 8pm on 8/13/24 was amazing. She kept us alert of our food delivery. UNLIKE any place I have been. Xavier at the swim up bar was great. I had just bought my brother, a pineapple and Malibu. Upon getting his food at the pool he accidentally spilled the drink all over the place. For $15 I was not letting that go. I went up to Xavier and asked him if he wouldn’t mind pouring a new one. He had not served me. Andreas had. Xavier was a bit skeptical of me at first. He did the right thing. I sent a note to the food and beverage manager, letting him or her know that Xavier chose customer service over everything else. Joel at the Hotel side working towels was sweet. He even asked my name. I truly appreciate that. I loved the chairs and umbrella at the beach. Complimentary too. I was pleasantly surprised. The only person that I didn’t quite care for and did not get good customer service from was Rocio. She offered us a sit down but never got back to us regarding an update. We had our terms. Her loss. The restaurants service was slow but worth the wait. We had dinner in Il Palio and Roots. Both Chayanne and Willie provided excellent service. Kevin at the Cucai bar was nice too. He took our picture and engaged us on conversation. Some criticism I did have is I thought they would’ve piped more of Jimmy Buffett’s music in at the pools. The pools were quiet. I anticipated hearing more songs. To pay for parking every day was absolutely ridiculous. There was no need for them to have to charge us. It would’ve been nice if the coffee shop next to the ****** would’ve stayed open all day. I’ll return.

Love the resort enjoy Margaritaville and Rio mar the joy of both world we stayed in mv and our family stayed in rm celebrating 32 legal years of marriage and our granddaughters 16th bday and grandsons 11th bday we can’t wait to come back

We had an awesome vacay here! Beach/ pool/ restaurants/ ****** / golf ⛳️…. It was amazing! Everyone was so nice and helped w anything we needed! We will bb soon! Tena at the front desk and Jose at Caicu Rum Bar ….. I miss it all back in freezing VA! So many pools and restaurants to choose from……
