Nice boutique to stay over. No amenities though, but a nice bar downstairs.

The place was alright, the beer was quite nice, the food was really bad, think that's probably putting it lightly, was like something my mum cooked me in the 80s when she couldn't be ****d Hard over chips, mushy peas out of a tin, crappy scampi, the money it was a complete Micky take

First visit since the refurbishment and the bar looks even better than it did before, comfortable and opened up while still giving the feel of a proper pub. Food as always is faultless and standard price for pub food but the food has never let me down, i would recommend the pies are the Manchester tapas. Lovely stay with a group of friends and the hotel is perfectly located, beds really comfortable and more than happy with what i got for the price.

A group of us travelled to Manchester for a friend stag party. A number of us had booked into the Abel Heywood as we were stopping in the city overnight. The hotel allowed us to leave our bags in a secure room with them as we arrived in the morning and check in wasn’t until later in the day. We came back later on checked in. The rooms were clean, well maintained and modern. We had an evening mean and a breakfast, both meals were excellent. The staff both at the bar, restaurant and hotel were extremely helpful and attentive. The hotel is centrally located and is in a great location which is about a 10 minute walk from Piccadilly train station, and the shops, restaurants and bars of the city centre are all on the doorstep. Overall a superb experience and a good place to stay well recommended.

Excellent hotel and the 2 bar areas are lovely. Great selection of drinks and the food is very good, one of the best coffees I’ve tasted that I had with my breakfast. Rooms are of good size and the staff were all great. Would highly recommend staying here and will be booking again next time I’m in Manchester.

Superb place to stay, with great food and great hospitality. Prime location to all bars, restaurants, and shopping. Rooms are well maintained, clean, and tidy, and the 2 bar areas are great. Check-in was easy, and we were able to leave our bags in a secure location as we arrived early.

We visited here for a quick bite to eat as we arrived into Manchester. It is perfectly located close to the Main train station Manchester Piccadilly. It is a pretty Pub and perfect for a gathering of friends and/ or colleagues. There was one lady zooming around taking orders making recommendations and bringing drinks for the entire pub. She was awesome. All our drinks and food arrived promptly. They all enjoyed their meals. I ordered the fish and chips which sadly was too oily. I had food envy as I saw someone else devour a steak and ale pie which I wish I had ordered. Overall a pleasant experience. Will next time order the pie.

I had a weekend away and the location and hotel room couldn’t have been any better. The staff were so friendly and let us leave our luggage there and nothing was a problem. Considering we were so central the room was so quite.

Paid £27 for a steak that was SO dry, cheese sauce that came with the cheese and onion pie was so thick you couldn’t pour it but it tasted of nothing. Very bland food and ridiculous prices to add insult to injury. There was also live music on that was so loud you had to shout to hear anything which wasn’t a very nice environment to eat a meal in. The waiting staff were lovely though.
