Kadim Hotel

Perfect location right in the heart of old city. Good staff. Breakfast could be improved. I would stay again.

This hotel has everything you want from a stay in Mardin but at a lower price point. It’s an old traditional stone house in a great location and the staff are lovely. We stayed in a stone room with a private bathroom. Kahvaltı (breakfast) was the standard with a great view in the terrace. Recommend.

Don't be deceived by the strong recommendations this hotel has had in the past. Hotels sometimes go downhill and this has happened in dramatic fashion at Kadim. The online photos look great but the management has clearly changed and the hotel has deteriorated badly. The rooms are dirty, the walls are stained, and the smell is nasty. The staff chain smoke inside and are rude and abrasive. Mardin is a wonderful town and people everywhere else are remarkably friendly and hospitable. To make this most of this extraordinary place stay elsewhere.

Good area. The bathroom needs a thorough clean and a bedside lamp would make the stay more comfortable.

Staff and managers were friendly and helpful. However, shower box partitions were mouldy.

Stay away! This hotel must have changed hands since any good reviews. It needs to be taken completely off your list. Thick with cigarette smoke as soon as you walk in, chronically dusty and mouldy and extremely cold. When you turn over in bed you get a puff of old dusty smoke from y to be pillow. I didn’t even want to leave my bags in this place. I’ve never experienced such a disconnect between the hotel website and reality. I checked multiple times if I was in the right place. I’ve actually become sick with a head hold since staying there. Just to top it off the manager on reception was really rude. Maybe it’s been a long cold winter for these guys, but that’s no reason to give them another chance. I have been living in Turkey for over a year and have rarely been disappointed with the famous hospitality until now. This is the first time I’ve been unlucky. Seriously, I really want to make sure no one else books this place until it cleans up its act. There are many great hotels in Mardin, Kadim Otel is no longer one of them. Sorry!

The hotel is located in the historical building in the old town. The staff was nice and they speak English, which is not common in this part of Turkey. I really loved the terrace. Unfortunately, I was told the wrong breakfast time so I missed my breakfast (and I wasn't offered any compensation). The room was completely different than in the pictures, although enough sufficient for 1 or 2 nights.

Good value for the price paid.

4 gece konakladık. Otelin konumu çok iyi heryere yakın. Yaz sezonunda gelirseniz konumun güzelliğini çok daha iyi anlarsınız. Kış olduğu için bizim için her şey biraz daha zorluydu. Kadim otel temizdi. Sadece banyoları baya eski. Ne kadar temizlensede temizliği belli etmeyen cinsten ama bizim için sorun değildi. Temiz olması yeterliydi. Isınmadada sorun yaşamadık havanın çok soğuk olmasına rağmen. Yusufcan beye çok teşekkür ederiz bizimle çok ilgilendi. Bölgeyi gezmemiz içiin bize çok yardımcı oldu. Mardine tekrar yolumuz düşerse tekrar kadim’de konaklarız 🌸
