Riad les Ammonites and Spa

Unfortunately we had to cancel our visit at short notice . we contacted the property and they were extremely helpful , despite not being required to they arranged a full refund for us, which was more than we had hoped for. we willwithout a doubt return and stay in the future.

This is a fabulous hotel with beautiful and large rooms. We stayed in the Marrakesh suite which over looks the courtyard. Our hosts Fahd and Ayoube went above and beyond to assure our comfort. Breakfast was included in our stay and the variety was very pleasing. We opted for dinner st the hotel and I would suggest skipping the fancy restaurants in the Square and enjoy the superior cooking at the hotel for the same price. The Hammam located on site is a must. For about $45 you will get oil, wash, body scrubbed, clay and final washed. For two it was about an hour or so. We will definitely be returning for another visit ho Merrakesh and we will be staying here again without question.

First impressions of Marrakesh was OMG! What have I done…. Arrived at 03:30 after a delayed flight and thankfully a lovely man from the Riad walked out to meet us. The alley ways and streets of the Old Medina were an experience! However once we stepped through that little wooden doorway we were in an oasis of tranquility. Our room was right next the plunge pool on the courtyard. Bed very comfortable and tasteful furnishings. Breakfast was an assortment of breads, yoghurt and the honey was delicious. 15min walk to the main square, through alleyways filled with moroccan merchandise and food. There are LOTS of cats, everywhere, however the locals are fond of them and feed regularly. No cars are permitted inside the Medina so beware the scooters whizzing by! Donkeys pulling carts heavily laden are the norm and the poor things are so thin. As are the horses pulling the carriages. No alcohol in Marrakesh unless you can find an up market restaurant outside of the medina. The Marrakesh trip was an unbelievable experience, Riad Les Ammonites was superb!

My husband and myself stayed at this Riad for 4 nights. On arrival we were greeted by Ayoub that bring us to the Riad he had shown us the facilities and even the empty room that was the biggest we fell in love in that room but unfortunately it was booked. Afterwards we were served by some Moroccan pastries and mint tea. It was a nice gesture and straight away I felt at ease in that place. Our first meal was dinner at the Riad it was vegetable salad that is so tasteful that we have to order them the following day, we were introduced to Our first Tagine and by far the best Tagine we had whilst we were in Marrakesh. We were served by Fahd and he spend time with us chatting and provide suggestions on how to get by in the city. Ayoub goes above and beyond by offering us to order some take away when we came late one night following a tour. Fahd offered us an alternative transport when our booked transport failed to respond on our calls. The ladies that keep our room clean and prepared our meal was friendly and always serve with a smile. Ayoub and Fahd always make us feel safe whenever we go out by offering to call them if we are having difficulties. Getting into the Riad it feels like you are in a labyrinth praying you make a right turn. It was well lit during the night. Be vigilant with motorbikes, tuktuk and bicycle you don’t want to be run by them Les Ammonites to sump up is a place that you feel relaxed and at peace. It was quiet and clean. Our room was big and we love how each room was decorated. Also it is well located about 15 minutes to the square. Alex & Donna

Unfortunately I am not able to recommend this hotel. Location is not bad, the service is fine too but only if you don’t get in direct contact with the owner Cinzia. As far as I am concerned she is a person who doesn’t respect her customers. During our stay our privacy was brutally disrupted – they have decided to paint the windows inside our room! It was entered by unknown persons who were not even employees of the hotel. And up to this moment I am not sure that none of our personal belongings are missing as they were moved around. The room smelled of fresh paint and it was impossible and dangerous to stay in it. I made them give us another room for the rest of our stay even though they wanted to give it for a night only saying that the hotel was fully booked. I told the hotel that such a behavior was totally unacceptable and asked for one night compensation. At that point Cinzia just stopped communicating – she didn’t take calls nor answered mails. Only when I wrote that I am going to try to solve the situation through expedia/hotels.com I got an answer: quote: I think I clearly answered to your complain, giving you a new room for 2 nights and offering the dinner extra you already did with us. Considering this is not sufficient for you, you menace me to take it to *******… I have no other option to ask you to pay for all the bill. Unquote. I must comment that in real life nothing was offered to me at all. And another thing: the hotel is not cheap by Marrakech standards but the breakfast there is no better than one typically expects in a hostel. Unless you like to fill your belly with a lot of dough in different forms accompanied by a very bad coffee and glass of acid orange juice this is not your place. But Marrakech is nice and there is a whole lot of hotels that look good to choose from.

We’ve just returned from a 4 night stay at Riad Les Ammonites and had a wonderful time. Marrakech is a loud, busy city and the riad was such a peaceful place to return to after a day of sightseeing. Our taxi dropped us off about a mile away, as the streets of the medina are too narrow for cars. We used Google Maps to walk the rest of the way and arrived at the riad a bit stressed and tired, having navigated the medina for the first time in the dark, but we were greeted by Ayoub who sat us down in the lovely courtyard with some mint tea and biscuits. Ayoub was our main point of contact during our stay and he was so kind and helpful. The room was bigger than we expected and the bed was very comfy. The bathroom was well equipped with shampoo, shower gel, body lotion and a hairdryer and there were lots of plug sockets around the room. Everything was spotless and thoroughly cleaned every day. The Wifi signal was weak in our room but we had Moroccan SIM cards with lots of data so this wasn’t an issue. Breakfast each morning in the courtyard was a nice way to start the day, there was a variety of breads and jams available, and omelettes and kiwi tarts were also served one day which were delicious. We didn’t eat our evening meals here but I wish that we had, as the menu looked really good! If I was going to return to Marrakech, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Ho trascorso 3 giorni stupendi in pieno relax - Riad in posizione ottima che custodisce un gioiello dove regna la pace e il relax. Il personale attendo ad ogni esigenza e super disponibile - Fahd e Ayoube GRAZIE per la vostra impeccabile assistenza. Tutto lo staff ha reso la nostra piccola vacanza ancora piu' piacevole. Spero di tornare presto!

Il Riad è al centro della Medina E pulito e ha un gioiello che si chiama Fhd, riesce a rendere realtà ogni tuo desiderio !!! La titolare Cinzia anche se nn in loco super disponibile anche dall Italia ha organizzato il nostro soggiorno a Marrakech, consigliatissimo !!!

Riad molto ben curato nelle zone comuni, la nostra stanza andrebbe un po' rivista per problemi di manutenzione Durante il nostro soggiorno siamo stati seguiti egregiamente e coccolati da Fahd che ha contribuito a rendere tranquilla e speciale nostra vacanza. Se gli si può dare un voto con massimo 10 gli darei 11!!!! Comunque tutto il personale è gentile ed efficiente. Bella esperienza l' hammam all' interno del Riad. Consiglio una cena nella struttura, bella atmosfera e buona cucina.
