While the property as well as the amenities and activity are great and a must visit, the management, especially the front desk team lacks training and experience in hospitality. One would expect the hospitality personnel to have empathy and human touch with a customer first approach than merely being transactional nature. All the request made (outside what was paid for) were turned down. 1) There were hardly 10-15 people in the resort on a friday we checked in, yet any request for a better room/upgrade was not entertained despite it being vacant. 2) we asked for empty plates since we had got home food having special dietary preferences, and we are told empty plates are chargeable (a first of its kind and never felt more insulted at this gesture at any of the top hotels i have stayed in) 3) we asked for complimentary room decor for a child's birthday (nothing fancy, merely 5 baloons), we were told this was chargeable at Rs. 4000/- 4) water park first we were told it is closed during monsoons. Then they said they would operate it only if there were min. 20 people the following day. We came here esp. for the water park and felt disappointed. Guess the mantra at this place is, you will get only what you have paid for. Ask for anything extra, they will charge you for even having breathed some extra oxygen from their atmosphere. Every other thing is chargeable here. Very bad hospitality experience, i felt embarassed having insisted my friends to book this resort in Daman over other properties like Gold beach or Praveg.
