Trevarrian Lodge

I had a wonderful stay in the Trevarrian Lodge B&B. The owners Jean and Declan were very welcoming, friendly and hospitable. As soon as I arrived I felt at ease in their welcoming atmosphere which was homely and warm. Both their dogs Dexter and Roxy equally welcomed me into their home. Within the B&B they have an information table set up with all types of trips, visits and maps available to take and look at. Along with a fresh water tank to fill up bottles. They also offer tea, coffee, water and treats with the providing of an honesty box should you take an item to pay for via the box. I think this is a wonderful idea. The room was perfect and the bed was super comfy. There were a few storms whilst I stayed but I could hardly hear them during the night so I had a great nights sleep all nights. They have a 9 piece pork based breakfast alternatives were also an option and you could select the whole full English or a variety of options which was cooked by Declan. They also had selection of pastries such as croissants, yogurt, cereal, fruit and homemade jams available. All the jams were extremely tasty especially the kiwi jam - certainly worth a taste! It was yummy! I enjoyed my conversations with Jean and Dec and I will certainly return to their cute b&b. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Tara (from London)

This is a lovely B and B and is well run by friendly owners. Clean rooms and a decent size. Nothing is too much trouble. Great breakfast. Walking distance to Mawgan Porth and short drive to Newquay. Pub in very easy walking. 5 mins drive to airport.

Fabulous B&B great facilities and lovely airy room with beautiful en-suite Extremely welcoming and the breakfast was a feast fruit cereal yogurts hot crossaints full English Doggies got treats and sausage every day Host were friendly and not too far to walk or ride to beach

Very welcome place to stay , Owners could not do enough to make our stay perfect . Lots of lovely touches to this beautiful accommodation. Lovely breakfast too . Nice restaurant/bar around the corner and beach close by too . Best travel Lodge I’ve ever stayed in highly recommend

Stayed overnight in Trevarrian lodge. Great place to stay hosts extremely friendly and helpful. Everything in place to make a comfortable and restful experience. Room clean comfortable with beautiful countryside views. Lovely breakfast this morning to start my day. Very close to a pub for food. Many thanks to the owners for their hospitality.

Me and my partner stayed here for our anniversary in early December, as Cornwall holds a special place in our hearts and we wanted to explore. I wish we hadn’t bothered. Firstly, Our car was towed away when parked on site at the resort, which the owner, Dec said belonged to Trevarrian. Secondly, the venue left a lot to be desired in terms of cleanliness, this was one of the worst we’ve come across. Dodgy paintwork, missing door handles and stained carpets to name a few. The facility also had cold showers throughout our stay, however Dec was very accommodating and boiled the kettle numerous times so we could at least have a bath in the shared bathroom. Finally, on the topic of shared bathrooms we had to endure sightings of what we assumed to be dirty marks in the toilet, only to have this denied by Jean on multiple occasions. Not impressed. Only positive about this place was the world class breakfast provided by Dec, which brought a nice end to our holiday from hell.

We had the pleasure of staying at the cottage for a week and can honestly say it has been a perfect week. Jean and Declan were really welcoming and were more than happy to help with any requests. Welcome gifts were really nice and we all enjoyed the home made scones, jam and bread amongst other things. The Cottege was really well appointed, a real home from home with all the amenities you would expect. We cooked a few meals in the kitchen and did not have any issues. The hot tub is a lovely touch and we had many a great evening relaxing in it. The cottage is in a great position and is a good base to see all this side of Cornwall with Newquay only 5 miles away and regular coastal buses and an easy taxi ride away. My advice is to book this if you get a chance you will not be disapointed. All in all a great staycation base.

This was the second time we have visited Jean and Declan, this time we travelled as a family. Rooms are well stocked and very comfortable. We took our large breed dog with us and our room was absolutely fine. Nothing was too much trouble, breakfast was always amazing each morning and the dog was never left out! Holiday Park across the road and pub we ate twice at less than 5 mins walk. Beach is a short drive away. Excellent value for money, very small fee for taking a dog. Will visit again soon. A very good place to stay. Friendly, warm, comfortable and a excellent breakfast. Probably the best breakfast I've had in a B&B. Definitely will return again in the future. Went with my wife and daughter and son in law and their dog all made to feel very welcome. Thank you
