Hotel Herceg

The Carpets in the room were badly stained. The room was were hot, could not bring down the temperature below 25 Degrees. Was advised later that the temperature is centrally controlled. No Tea and Coffee facilities in the room. Godfrey

Medjugorje and Herzegovina's wonderful people, untouched nature and excellent cuisine, you can experience all this if you stay at the Herceg Hotel, where you will be hosted by extremely friendly hosts, and you will enjoy Herzegovinian specialties. Therefore, I warmly recommend it to anyone who needs good accommodation with wonderful hosts.

Hotel Herceg is on the main road near the main bus or coach station. St James Church is within walking distance. All shops and restaurants are very near. Konzum supermarket is right opposite the hotel and there is also a small pharmacy which sells perfumes and many other essential things. The hotel is located in a very quiet area of Medjugorje. Next to the bus or coach station is a post office. So convenient for everything. We flew in from Dubrovnik Croatia, took a shuttle bus to the main bus station in Dubrovnik which cost us 10 euros. The shuttle bus takes about 30 mins to get to the main station. From Dubrovnik main bus station we took a bus/coach to Medjugorje at 17:15 and arrived in Medjugorje at 21:15 at the main bus or coach station. It is the last stop. The price for this was 22 euros. Cheaper than getting a taxi. From the bus station you just walk a few minutes and you arrive at Hotel Herceg. This hotel is very special. There is a wonderful reception on arrival. The staff in this hotel are absolutely amazing. The rooms are lovely with comfortable beds. WiFi worked brilliantly. My highlight has to be the morning breakfast. The breakfast was simply the best. The hotel hosts a bar as well. There is also a souvenir shop at the hotel. I would like to thank Antonia, Maria and Christian for giving us the best stay at the hotel. I will definitely be returning to your hotel. You guys are the best.

The trip to Medjugorje was amazing. The hotel was extremely accommodating and the food for breakfast was very good. We were able to use the pool at the resort associated with the hotel and the facilities were incredible. We would stay here again if we return to the area.

Excellent and family friendly place with very kind staff. Favourite place in Međugorje. Not very far from the parish church. I'm sure we'll return. The food was excellent, both breakfast and lunch. We paid extra for lunch and it was worth it.

I specifically booked the Herceg because it had a pool....not. The pictures of the pool are from a sister hotel 2km away. The hotel description also states there is a pool. The manager was not available to discuss, the receptionist taking the brunt of my displeasure at being mislead. She did her best in the situation, but I could not cancel the booking as I had passed the cutoff time. Breakfast was included but limited for a supposed 4 star hotel. Will not be staying there again.

Wonderful newer and clean hotel located just a few blocks from St. James Church and other important religious sites plus shops, markets, and restaurants. The dinner was included and everyone in my group enjoyed the quality and abundance of food and wine. The breakfast was superb, even better than the ones we got at all the hotels in Italy where we previously stayed. The staff was very courteous and always available for our needs. We also got a surprise souvenir from Medjugorje when we check out. Nice people and an amazing experience, thank you so much, and blessings from California.

Excellent place. We were here before and we will come again for sure. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, tasty breakfast. Hotel is in walking distance from the Cathedral with everything you would need, shops and restaurants. It has a free parking.

Excellent hotel with comfy beds, clean rooms, very good breakfast and great service. The staff was so nice and friendly. Hotel is near the center nice walk to the church. Recommend it from the heart and pretty sure we will come back there very soon.
