The hotel is central. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and fresh. The beds are ver comfortable, and they even offered us a variety of different pillows. Breakfast is fresh and delicious. Friendly and helpful staff. We were there to hike, but there were skiers in the hotel, who could take the free ski bus to the lift.

I recently stayed at Hotel Dakota and had an amazing experience. The staff was welcoming, the room was spacious and clean, and the views were breathtaking. The facilities were exceptional. The highlight was the delicious food at the hotel restaurant. Highly recommend Hotel Dakota for a memorable stay!

Very warm welcome. The hotel corresponds to the description and pictures. Beautiful, clean room and bathroom. A large and comfortable bed and the requested ergonomic extra pillow was also there. For my dog, there was a dog bed, water bowl, and a welcome treat. And there was even an extra door tag that there was a dog in the room. Very convenient if you want to leave the dog in the room for a short time. The breakfast buffet offers a wide selection from scrambled eggs and bacon to cold cuts, salmon and various cheeses, fresh fruit salad and freshly squeezed orange juice, just to name a few, because there was so much more. I would especially like to mention the exceptionally attentive staff at breakfast who, after telling them my room number, presented me with a variety of choices of lactose-free and plant-based milk and yogurt - a preference I could also choose before arrival. Overall, an exceptional stay and highly recommended!

Nach einer Wanderung haben wir spontan im Dakota ein Zimmer gebucht. Das Hotel liegt ideal in drei Minuten Fussdistanz zum Bahnhof Meiringen. Das Einschecken verlief sehr speditiv und das Personal an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das von uns gebuchte Superior Doppelzimmer war gemütlich und die Einrichtung gut aufeinander abgestimmt. Kaffemaschine funktionierte nicht und beim Wasserkocher ist das Kabel viel zu kurz, so, dass man wirklich überall etwas ausprobieren muss, um diesen überhaupt in Betrieb nehmen zu können. Hoffentlich ist das in den anderen Zimmern besser gelöst! Das Boxspringbett war überaus bequem und wir haben entsprechend gut geschlafen. Der Sanitärbereich eher klein aber alles vorhanden was es braucht. Leider funktionierte der Radiator für die Trocknung der Bade- und Handtücher nicht. Das Hotel Dakota wurde 2020 renoviert. Jetzt, wo also alles noch einigermassen "Neu" ist, sieht man das noch nicht so....aber trotzdem werden halt da und dort schon Mängel sichtbar, was wirklich schade ist. Beispiele: die erwähnten Radiatoren, dann die Fussbodenleisten, die Wasserschäden an den Badezimmertüren, welche durch die nicht durchdachten Duschwannen im kleinen Bad bedingt zu sein scheinen. Es gäbe noch ein paar Details mehr... Das Frühstücksbuffet war soweit in Ordnung. Vom Angebot her aber für ein Viersterne Hotel doch eher etwas dürftig. Die Möglichkeit mit dem frisch gepressten Orangensaft fanden wir sehr gut! Das Personal im Hotel Dakota fanden wir sehr nett. Im Frühstücksbereich und an der Rezeption machten wir ausschliesslich gute Erfahrungen. Einmal mehr dachten wir, was würde die Schweizer Hotellerie nur machen, ohne das ausländische Personal. Fazit: Ein schönes Hotel, an guter und doch ruhiger Lage, gemütliche Zimmer, sehr nettes Personal. Das wiegt die paar angedeuteten Kritikpunkte für uns auf. Wir würden wieder hier logieren und können das Hotel Dakota weiter empfehlen !

Hôtel idéalement situé dans Meiringen à deux pas à pied du musée de Sherlock Holmes et à 10min en voiture des gorges de l'Aare. Les chambres sont spacieuses, la literie est très bonne et le petit déjeuner complet à base de produits frais. Parfait
