This hotel is exceptional, from the food options, to safety, to customer service. We really enjoyed our stay. The only issue is I have a bad back and the spring mattress was a bit much but that is any hotel with a bad back!

We were able to stay in one of the newly renovated rooms and it was very well appointed, clean (obviously), and extremely quiet. It was great. Room service was great and the TVs were large w great channel selections. Well done Pfister. We’ll be back again.

Beautiful historic property accessible to everything. Staff was amazing from checkin to lobby bar to anyone encountered throughout the stay!

It is a well known historic building that is generally well maintained, but at this time is being extensively renovated by the Marcus group. Each morning, at 5:30 a.m I was woken up by garbage/renovation debris being dumped into garbage trucks. I believe that it will be a beautiful renovation. From the morning breakfast to the attached Mason Street steakhouse the food is very good. What I liked about the place most is the people. From the service I had at the restaurants to the pleasant front desk people to the extremely helpful Bell Captain and Valet team, I was impressed.

Check in was seamless and the staff was very nice. However, the bathroom in the room was not cleaned properly. There was pee all underneath the toilet seat. I do like that they provide guests with free water and allowed us to do late check out.

We have stayed here a few times. Hotel is historic and is nice but could use a major update. Tv in sitting area had no signal and safe did not work. Bathroom was small with old tub/toilet and counter top. One of the panels in the bathroom vanity fell off. Staff tries hard but bartenders in lobby bar were busy talking to each other rather than paying attention to customers. Martini should be served in martini glass not margarita glass. It is the small details that set 5 star hotels apart. This hotel I would say is more of a four star. Thinking we will try another hotel next time and hope that they will put some money and training back into this place. Good location.

Staff were gracious and helpful. Room was well-appointed and comfortable. Bathroom was spacious and shower was great. View of lake was spectacular.
