Hôtel le Commerce

This Hotel gave our luggage that we left with them for safe keeping until we returned from a hike . They gave the luggage to a 3rd party without checking and was not returned. The hotel is now ignoring our request to get this back and this is appalling given the loss we are now incurring. Please do not book this hotel as they do not care about the customer.

We stayed at the Hotel Le Commerce on the 28th August and the 6th September 2023. We were hiking in the Vanoise Alps and this hotel stay was at the start and end of the hiking trip. There were three of us. Two of us left bags with spare clothes for safe-keeping, which we would collect when the hiking trip was over. We have ben hiking for many years and this was something we always do. When we returned we found out that our bags were no longer at the hotel. We were informed that the bags were taken by an Italian Railway Company, by accident, following a rockfall onto the railway line close to Modane. We have been waiting for well over 2 months to receive the bags from the hotel. I have suggested a number of times that the bags be posted directly to me. However, the hotel have not responded to my request and are ignoring us. The management are clearly disreputable. At this stage, we find it difficult to believe that the bags were actually taken by this Italian Railway Company. We were never shown any confirmation of this. All we can conclude is that the hotel either allowed the bags to be stolen or they were taken by somebody either working/staying in the hotel. The bottom line is that if you are planning to hike next year in this area, you should not stay in this hotel. Your possessions are not safe there.

A simple, serviceable hotel across the street from the Modane train station. Lively bar, solid breakfast. Don't be looking for creature comforts! Rooms in back overlook a roaring brook and the mountains. Rooms in front face the street and train station. We stayed here before launching our hiking trip the following morning.

This is an unpretentious hotel with an excellent manager . We had the most expensive room which was comfortable and quiet and would certainly visit again. Beware Sunday evenings thigh. The hotel has no restaurant and the restaurants in Modane are mostly closed .

l'hôtesse a fait une erreur sur notre facture et notre carte a été débitée 2 fois lors du paiement de notre séjour d'une nuit avec petit-déjeuner Après réclamation avec preuves à l'appui, nous attendons toujours le remboursement du trop perçu ! aucune réponse du gérant de l'hôtel ! Inadmissible

De passage vendredi dernier. nous avons été très bien accueilli. Petit déjeuner très bien. Chambre propre. Gentillesse professionnalisme et sourires. Nous remercions Laëtitia et ses collègues. Adresse que nous communiquerons à notre entourage.

Hôtel moderne situé face à la gare sncf . Chambres rénovées et confortables . Pas de restaurant mais petit déjeuner très complet. Accueil et Service efficace . Terrasse sympa et ambiance bistrot chaleureuse . Parfait comme étape pour les randonneurs du GR5 .

L'endroit est parfait pour un séjour confortable , calme et sans problème. Gentillesse , propreté absolue , salle de bain rationnelle et ce qui n'est pas négligeable , bon petit déjeuner à 10 euros .

J'avais loué deux chambres pour mon garçon et moi dans cet hôtel situé juste devant la gare . Hôtel calme , lit confortable et douche à bonne température . Petit déjeuner rationnel et bon . Buffet avec jambon , yaourt , compote , fromage ,...Jus d'orange et viennoiserie . Donc moment agréable et terrasse devant l'hôtel agréable pour prendre une boisson fraîche par ces grosses chaleurs de Juin 2022 . Le calme de la rue permet de dormir la fenêtre ouverte . Etages desservis par ascenseur .
