fresh clean rooms, and comfortable beds. Lovely big bar with a huge real fireplace, very inviting. Good pub grub. Excellent breakfast, quality of fare, far better than expected. This will be my first choice to stay when I'm in that area again.

Luckily enough to live within a mile of the pub. Have enjoyed lite lunches, carveys and live music. Authentic cosy English Pub. Plenty of charm. Always met with chatty friendly staff and the land lady always goes above and beyond to meet our hospitality requirements. Once again a brilliant evening. ❤️ food. The lasagna is so tasty .. this evening, they had a band “Vanilla Radio “. So cool and amazing musicians. Excellent service all round , food was hot and there was no wait for service Love this little gem of a pub. It’s a shame I can only review it a certain amount of time a month. Even when we move ( only 30 minutes away). We will definitely re visit. And there is a Race night 16/7 And they have a Sunday afternoon BBQ All throughout the summer Definitely worth treating yourself.

Spent one night on route to a nearby funeral, handy location, comfortable bed, ensuite room, excellent breakfast and very helpful host. Would hope to stay longer on another occasion.

A terrible experience. I had no option but to rearrange my stay due to the Queens funeral. I phoned to try to come to an amicable/ shared arrangement on payment and a rebooking. The wife of the owner was rude and patronising and refused to make any concession at all insisting on charging me full prices despite the circumstances. I am all for supporting local and small businesses but for some reason this owner is too arrogant to think they need to rely on repeat business or I wouldn’t have been spoken to in the way I was. I wish them every success but I will never stay here again.

Good for one night stay. I was concerned that being above the pub might be noisy on a Friday night, but it was not. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. A little inconvenient having the bathroom across the hall, but for a one night stay it wasn't bad. The owners graciously accommodated my slightly earlier breakfast. During the day I parked in the lot across the road, but when I came back in the evening I ended up parking down the road outside the post office.

Excellent two night stay at this lovely old pub Warm welcome and excellent food Comfortable room/bed. Bathroom across the corridor was no problem since warm dressing gowns were provided

Had a carvery here the American lady owner was very rude too customers and younger staff members would definitely NOT recommend this experience food was below average and over a fiver for a pint drinks so expensive

Very charming and cosy small English pub with good rooms and a nice garden and very capable hosts.
