Hotel very well located in the centre of Montevideo. The breakfast is right. The rooms are comfortable. At least in the one I always stay, the water pressure is excellent. The bathroom is a little light, but you just need some coat or slipper.

Good cost x benefit. Old, but organized and clean hotel. Offers parking and daily cleaning of the rooms. Simple breakfast, but for the price is within the expected. Excellent location, we walk quietly through the center at all times. Sympathetic and performing receptionists.

The criticism should not be used for verbal aggressions, but for improving the establishment, and in my case we bought the package by CVC and that was not exactly what we bought. The hot record of the shower is almost impossible to close it so hot, it burns your fingers, the input bank is really full of alphabet, wines, cakes and similar, there is no space for signing the input sheets. The bathroom has a glass-only bathroom where it is so wet as it is dangerous until it slitters, the towels are fine to use so much.

The hotel was very comfortable and the rooms were very comfortable. We had booked with a month in advance, confirmed by phone before arrival, everything came perfect until we arrived and did not let my husband and children come in. I wasn't at the hotel yet, but I had already warned that I who made the reservation was coming a little late. The location is perfect, if you are travelling in and out of Montevideo by bus. And at 50$ per night it is a bargain. Otherwise try and stay somewhere else. The hotel is not a 4* by all means. Noone speaks a word of English (I do speak broken Spanish, still difficult), housekeeping never showed up. I checked out one day early and although I sent an official request from booking and asked at reception, they took the whole amount.

The Regency Golf hotel is located in Punta Carretas at a short distance of the well-known shopping mall. You have the rambla and numerous restaurants nearby. The hotel is a city sleeping factory. Staffs are friendly. We booked on the Saturday when the final of the Copa Sudamericana 2021 took place. The city was full of Brazilian football fans. Prices got up and many hotels were fully booked. Our room was small and was actually an adject to a larger corner room. The room was adequately furnished, with large faulty table & chair, TV on the wall, wardrobe & safe and airco. In the room we found an in-cupboard kitchenette with fridge, sink, microwave, coffee & tea making facility, and 2 plates & cups and cutlery. We had an OK double bed, and a small separate bathroom with washbasin, toilet, bidet & shower. All was clean. The window provides a view of the wall of next building. The window can be open but have no mosquito screen. Opening the window results is a permanent noise from a compressor in the small patio downstairs. Complimentary Wi-Fi Internet and free parking in the street. The hotel serves an OK continental breakfast buffet with tostada made to order, croissant, pastries, fresh fruit, and coffee & tea. Espresso & cappuccino are extra. With US$ 115 for a modest room the hotel is overpriced. If you like to stay in an urban accommodation and enjoy compressor noise, Regency Golf this is the place for you. Otherwise seek elsewhere.

The hotel is beautiful. As soon as you get inside you are greeted by the receptionists, who are extremely friendly and polite with everyone. As you get in the room, using your card, you can see the bathroom to the left and the TV and beds at the end of the hallway. Next to the bed, there's a small kitchen and a table, just in case you want to cook something there instead of going out. The cleaning crew wasn't very punctual, we never knew at what time they were coming to clean the room and they would always forget to restock the toilet paper or the towels but after a few complaints everything was solved and it never happened again. Apart from that, the rest of our experience staying there was amazing!

First return after Covid and I’m happy to say it’s still the same great hotel, rooms, Lounge, Bar all still as new, a friendly home from home far away, totally recommend for a short business trip to this great area, short safe walk to bars and a skip across the road to the beach

Apart from being a great location close to departmental transport and the hotel including the rooms are very clean the staff are extremely friendly and courteous plus they go out of they way to help - This is are second time stying in the hotel and we would highly recommend it
