Mayfield on Montville

Awesome accommodation, the view is beautiful with large balcony. The room was very clean and large, with a large bathroom with shower and spa bath. If you have issues with stairs this is not the place for you. The only downfull was the stair area was dirty and smelly and our balcony had not been clean. This is why 4 stars 🌟 Its a stunning area with an awesome restaurant accross the road and a yummy Cafe below,also lots of shop's.

Great directions and clear communication prior to stay. Friendly staff. Very clean and tidy. Large amount of space. Stunning views. Very very quiet at night and so very peaceful. Beautiful place to get away.

For $300 a night the only thing that made it worth it was the view. The first thing I noticed as I walked in is that the cleaners didn't wipe the kitchen bench. There were crumbs and drink marks all over it. The actual apartment is huge but very dated, a bit smelly and has no soul. The view is incredible but was spoiled by a chainsmoker on the balcony/apartment next door. The guy didn't stop fagging from 6am onward. It meant I had to keep the doors shut the whole time I was there. NO INTERNET? I wasn't aware of that and had to use my phone as a hotspot the whole time. You are right above The Edge restaurant, I don't know whether it was exceptionally noisy because it was easter , but you will hear the noise of conversations and plates/drinks clinking all lunch time. The stairs coming up to the apartment from the road is difficult to drag luggage up. Especially if you are bringing it up from the underground carpark which is another couple of flights of stairs. The underground carpark where I was told to keep my car - my car was vandalised twice. The window wipers were put up and a note put on my car reading 'This is NOT a carpark'. It did not feel safe to leave my car under there. I wouldn't recommend nor stay again. For $300 a night they could renovate each apartment one by one with nicer furnishings and give it a more homely feel.Also ban the smoking - YUCK!

I recently spent three days with friends in these apartments. The view was magnificent from our deck and the location was excellent. However, I would not recommend them and especially for people with mobility problems. There are a lot of steps to ground level from the car park which is under the building and then a lot of steps up to the unit. However, our biggest problem was the very slippery tiles in the bathroom. There was no exhaust fan so condensation made the whole floor area very dangerous and to overcome this problem we had to place towels on the floor. The air conditioner was not functioning properly and a large glass door had no warning decals on it. Consequently one of our group walked into it but fortunately was not injured. We were very disappointed and would neither stay here again or recommend these apartments. There was no information provided and no contact number for management or emergencies. Overall, a very disappointing visit!

Postitives- The apartments themselves are spacious, the views are spectacular, large balcony, central location, large bathrooms. Improvements- reception was confusing to locate, parking isn't secure so anyone can park there (there was often no underground so including it as a feature is a bit cheeky), no elevator, no wifi, no fan in room, bed was uncomfortable, jets weren't cleaned well in the spa bath. Also there was no room service for the weekend but nothing else offered in exchange i.e a small discount or a coffee voucher. Im sorry but when you charge this much you can't be just saying there's no room service. Safety issue - the tiles in the bathroom and the corridors are dangerously slippy and bath mats should be placed down as the shower water goes everywhere. I almost slipped at 35 weeks pregnant in the bathroom and could have fallen on the stairs also. Nice place to stay but definitely not worth $320 a night at all. Need some major upgrades and additional features, luxuries and attention to detail to be charging these rates.

Great location , spacious, self contained apartments with fantastic views right on top of The Edge restaurant and some great little shops. But it could do with a bit of "sprucing up" and modernising. Please note that I would definitely stay again. The unit was very clean and larger than expected. Most of the issues are cosmetic (coat of paint, timber furniture on verandah needs attention, no internet, etc.) However, the AC was noisy, especially if the fan was set to high!
