SeaBird Hotel

I’ve just returned from this hotel and visited with a friend. We visited near the end of the season( as the hotel closes for the winter towards the end of October). We had a very enjoyable stay. Our double room had a view of the pine clad mountains and the garden and had a decent sized balcony. The room has a smaller single fold up bed too. The room was clean and the fridge could hold a good amount of bottled water. Rooms have a safe ( ask for key @ reception)€10 euros for our stay. We didn’t expect to get anything back - but got the whole €10 back on departing. As it was approaching end of season ; we had breakfast in the hotel but dinner at the larger next door Albatross Hotel( half board).This wasn’t a problem- on the 1 st night a lovely receptionist took us over to the Atlantico and introduced us to the staff there. Dinner @ The Albatross was buffet style- different each night. Mix of Greek, some pasta, meats, good salads, excellent desserts and scoop ice cream. Breakfast— we took into account it was end of season , so less choice than maybe summer. Continental breakfast, delicious Greek yogurt, honey, apples. Some cereals , boiled eggs , mini sausages. TBH it was ok. We never thought to ask eg for scrambled eggs etc—so maybe they would have done this. There’s no kettle in the rooms( take a travel one). The nice man in the bar provided hot water for tea.Coffee good from the bar. The bar did cocktails, good range of drinks and really good white wine @€3 for a big glass. Pool area- clean. Pool chillier as end of October! We played ping pong- it’s free to use . They have bats ( a bit weather worn). We bought some cheap balls from local shop. The hotel is in an excellent location, literally a few minutes from the beach( so easy to nip back to get eg more drinks).This part of the beach is beautiful. A beach bar doing food and The Albatross Hotel as well for drinks and lunch( and the loo). There is a beach shop v close so easy to get drinks, snacks,souvenirs. There are 2 routes to the resort main *****- either turn right from the hotel past the car rental , then turn right onto the main road to shops and bars. Or turn sharp left out of hotel along a small road that will lead further up the main ***** ( this way is about 10 minutes to the bus stop). Resort was lovely- still some bars and restaurants open. I expect it’ll be busier peak season. Shops— amazing bakery down from COOP supermarket.Chap in the COOP gave us a free water and grapes as we walked around. There’s everything you would need in resort- pharmacy, so doctors, several mini markets, gift shops,bus stop to get to Corfu Town( cardless or buy tickets at the booth— if doing this take the right turn out of the hotel to get to the main road). We stayed for 5 nights and loved the hotel and resort. Obviously our view is based on our end of season. It’s a great location for beach and resort and to travel around- public bus and also booth to organise trips on way to the beach and on main road

The hotel location is amazing and the staff especially the 2 bar men The housekeepers could not do enough for you The room is spotlessly clean however the shower was not in good repair and was a struggle to use also the plug in the wash basin got stuck at every use and we were not able to empty the sink but the housekeeper did it for us We went half board we only had one meal the whole time we were there which consisted of a bowl of soup and a little salad The hot food choice was not hot it was not even tepid warm and this was going to the dining room at opening time We would stay at the hotel again just for the location and the staff but would not even consider the board options

The room's conditions in this property are terrible. The WFI hardly works and the children's swimming pool is in poor state (green mould in the borders). No housekeeping on Sundays. Breakfast is very basic, even staff make a joke with guests that the caviar of the breakfast are the croissants (which are not always available during breakfast time which is 07:30 - 10:00). I was given a room that had a big whole in the toilet (drainage) it took for them to fix the lid 3 days and the excuse was "it is high season". What about children's safety? I stayed there with my toddler, I understand it is high season but at least I should have been given a "safe room for my child" The only positive: most of the staff are very friendly and helpful

If you are booking as a family then avoid this hotel at all costs! We booked a family room which stated it was a double room for 2 adults and 2 children. It stated that it would be 2 single beds with 2 additional beds for the children. The twin beds were fine, therefore if you are coming as a couple you would probably find that you arrive to a fairly spacious, typical 3* hotel room and you would be happy enough with that. The additional beds for the children were absolutely appalling as you can see from the photos attatched. One of them was made up from 3 separate/ripped pieces of thin foam on a rock hard metal frame. The other was another ridiculously thin piece of foam covered in mould and some of the slats were broken and missing, causing the 'mattress' to fall through! We arrived on the sunday, we bought this to the manager's attention immediately the next day. They eventually replaced one of the beds on Wednesday with another completely uncomfortable, unsuitable fold up bed. OK the thin foam had no mould this time but the bed frame didn't even fold out flat, it was in a 'z' shape! They replaced the other bed on the Friday- two days before we flew home and again another unsuitable bed! We spent the whole week with 2 single beds pushed together and 4 of us sleeping in them. Completely unacceptable! The room has a fridge but no tea/coffee making facilities which most basic rooms on the island provide nowadays. The shower pole kept failing apart and the curtain kept falling off. One minute the shower was freezing cold and the next it was scolding hot so again do be careful if showering small children! The pool is tiny and outdated, barely any sunbeds, cracked tiles round the pool, no snack bar, ripped parasols. Took one look at it and left. I can't comment on the restaurant or the bar as from our experience on arrival didn't really want to spend anymore time at this hotel than I absolutely had to. Any staff I came across at the hotel, I didn't find to be particularly friendly except from the cleaner who was lovely. They have a little park on their grounds which looked quite nice in the garden area. The only positive I can really take away from this hotel is that the cleaner is lovely and friendly! Your room is cleaned every day with fresh bedding.

I want to highlight the Paradise Bird Bar at the hotel. Lovely space, very reasonable prices, but best of all are the staff. George is an amazing barman. Extremely professional, always friendly, prompt service. He's also always busy, the bar is spotlessly clean. He obviously cares very much that each customer has a great experience/visit. Also, Sugar and Mario. Both young, enthusiastic and professional!

Just had an idyllic week here. Lovely big room, cleaned every day with fresh bedding and clean towels. Plenty of cupboard/drawer space and a decent sized fridge. There's no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms but breakfast starts at 7.30. Location is the biggest bonus - a minute from the most beautiful beach and plenty of places to eat to suit all ages/tastes. Beautiful views of the mountains with a real village feel. Staff were helpful and friendly. Food is buffet style, but varied and well cooked, and there are supermarkets very close. Pool is small but deep and clean - I only used it once because the beach is so close. Overall it had a boutique feel for 3* cost - we'll definitely go back.

We booked this hotel with TUI, half board and air conditioning included in the price. The room we had was clean and tidy, and cleaned almost every day and was a suitable size to accommodate two adults and a child easily. Breakfast was continental style, but with fresh greek salad veg plus yogurt, honey and fresh fruit. Also cereals,sausages and egg (alternate scrambled and hard boiled). Variety of drinks (juice from machine, coffee machine and water). Evening meal was good with a different meat every day, plenty of different vegetables over the week and pasta, rice and other greek cuisine. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend to anyone else.

We are just back from the most marvellous vacation! And it’s all thanks to staying in this Hotel!! The staff are so friendly! The food was Amazing! The place was spotlessly clean!! 2 mins from one of the nicest beaches on Corfu!! If I am ever back I will be staying here again!! Thanks Sea Bird it was a wonderful time!!

fantastic hotel,i was a solo traveller but never felt alone, staff are wonderful ,kind and helpful , ,bedroom had a lovely comfortable bed ,nice plump pillows and good quality, bathroom modern and very nice shower wet room style so for Greece rare to have such good bathroom in 3star hotel. Food was ok always something to eat, overall for a 3 star hotel i was very happy there. the only negative i think the pool area could be improved a lot of the poolside furniture needs replacing umbrellas rusty and wobbly, some beds broken if all new furniture was put around pool its would be perfect,saying that beach is only 2mns down the road so i myself and most guests went there instead.i will definetly use this hotel again, thankyou for a great stay.
