Amazing private reserve. The attention to detail is everywhere. Pity they don’t do the game barbecue in the evenings though…

Rooms look exactly as they do on the webpage The tented lodge is nothing short of fabulous We loved every second of our short stay The staff are warm and friendly Very accommodating when booking Melanie our guide was absolutely brilliant, she went over and above for my daughter on the junior ranger program and in our game drives The food was very tasty and fresh I went to the spa and it was relaxing and peaceful Honestly I don’t have a bad word to say We will definitely be back and bringing family

We had an amazing stay at Botlierskop! Our safari’s with Daniel, the ranger, were a super great experience and we learned a lot! We saw 4 out of the ‘big 5’ and even cheeta’s. The tented lodges are designed beautifully and really spacious with nice mountain views. We saw some of the wild animals just walking by while sitting at our balcony. The food was delicious and the staff was super friendly and helpful. We highly recommend staying here to experience the best South African safari’s have to offer.

We booked Botlierskop on recommendation from a friend and didn’t regret the decision at all. Just wished we’d booked for a longer stay ! The staff were very welcoming and the guide(Rico) was absolutely amazing with his knowledge and expertise. It made the whole experience very memorable for us . We would definitely come back again if we are in south Africa. The food was absolutely wonderful and we were well and truly looked after - including refreshments on the game drives -expertly prepared by Rico !

Wonderful break from a hectic life. It’s great to see how the staff has perfected the way they handle guests. Everything happens seamlessly behind your back for a relaxing and enjoyable animal experience. Rooms were wonderful, food was great and price was reasonable. Jerrod our guide was knowledgeable and professional all while being a great host. Great adventure would recommend.

If you are in the area, i must recommend. the owner and staff are so kind and nice, unlike some other places. They actually care for the quality of food, service and your satisfaction here. Beautiful place, beautiful people. Wish you had a bit more food options for specific dietary needs but amazing service for what it is.

This game reserve was more than exceptional, to say the least! The staff were incredible, the food quality was top notch and the activities are extremely unique and so much fun! We arrived earlier than the check in time and the staff were more than happy to accommodate us (also depending on availability). While waiting for our room, they suggested that we do a horse back safari instead of just sitting and waiting. We were excited and took the offer. Our horse back safari guide was Admire who is exceptionally great at what he does and because of him, we have done horseback safari almost everyday! We have started with the non experienced ride then made our way up to the experienced where we were cantering and galloping with our different horses!! Back to the main story, our game drive guide Mandela has made our game drives sooooo much fun and is another reason why we would always want to come back to Botlierskop just for them 2!! (This is our honeymoon and they made the experience more than perfect!!) I would truly recommend Mandela and Admire when coming to this private game reserve!

i was not going to visit a game reserve whilst in south africa as i felt gawping at animals with no future for their species is unhelpful. well, unfortunately , i maintain this view after my visit. the elephants and lions are given contraception . there seems no attempt to improve the gene pool and preserve Africa’s great heritage. if a hippo or rhino die they just get a couple more from another park .the only plus point is the animals are unaware and have a lovely environment to spend their days in gawped at by the likes of me, but never again. such wasted potential . don’t go if it rains you will be drenched for three hours with water tipping off the roof like you have had a bucket of water thrown over you.

Day safari with Silas was fantastic! passionate, humorous and knowledgeable. Beautiful scenery and great to get close to animals in such lovely condition. Lunch at the restaurant after the safari was amazing. Great food and staff. Thanks to all for such a fabulous experience and day out!
