Ideales Resort

A beautiful place to stay in an amazing location. The setting and surroundings stunning. The villa was clean and well equipped . The outside area and pool was kept very clean. The staff were friendly and very helpful. A big thanks to Lila. A definite return location.

Second time staying at Ideales, this time for 2 weeks. Lila was brilliant helping before we arrived and during, Villa was again very clean, lovely big pool and beautifully landscaped garden. Facilities were great, we like to cook and everything there worked well. With the maid service and pool cleans it felt more like a luxury hotel than a self catering villa Excellent location to get everywhere but very private. Hopefully back next year!!

We are drawn back to this place every year, it is totally relaxing. We’ve stayed in the majority of the villas over the years. All are of high quality, soft bedding, furnishings, kitchen etc. We’ve never been disappointed. Views are stunning and sunsets to die for. Breakfasts on the terrace are memorable. Bedding and towels are changed regularly and the pool is cleaned every other day. Lila is always on hand to sort out any issues or for advice There is a local supermarket plus restaurants nearby, all within walking distance. Beaches are a bit further and a car is recommended - but the bonus is access to two local beach tavernas that have simple but fantastic food. We are going back in August 2024 - cannot wait

Excellent villas. Very clean, well equipped, clean pool, peaceful. Location excellent as well. You can walk to one taverna (which is also excellent). Approx 10min walk. The supermarket is a short drive (15 min walk). Also a few other bars and tavernas around the supermarket. Beaches are everywhere and excellent. Closest beach was a 10min drive. (I would reco a car, as a steep drive back up). Lovely taverna on the breach. Highly reco this place. (Also on 20mins from the airport). Also excellent service from the team.

We stayed for two weeks with ideal resorts in a lovely villa with private pool. The villa was perfect with everything you would need, the complimentary welcome pack was a lovely touch. The staff were excellent and always helpful if we needed anything. It was such a relaxing holiday we booked again before we left.

We loved our stay in villa Mataki. From the moment we arrived and saw the fantastic view we were smitten. My husband has a disability so we were glad of the ground floor bedroom, and as it was during the extremely hot weather we were grateful for the lovely shaded area outside. Loved the pool and the privacy. We hired a car which we thought essential, and picked it up from airport. It would have been too hot to walk to shop or restaurants, and it allowed us to see a bit of the island. We very much hope to book again for next year. Only complaint, the pillows need replacing as they were hard and lumpy, but mattress very comfy. Oh and for those who might want to watch television, there was only one British channel and that was news, so take dvds.

We stayed here as a family of four. The accommodation is outstanding, clean and everything you need is there. lovely sized pool. The wifi isn’t brilliant but not necessary with such a lovely pool. The luc aah k beach Trapazeki is great. There are tavernas and bars 15/20 mins walk from the villas, a supermarket. Would recommend hiring a car for exploring the island. Would highly recommend & love to go back. Good communication with company.

We have just had a wonderful, relaxing stay in Villa Petalida. The Villa was well equipped and spotlessly clean, comfy beds and good air conditioning. It also has its own pool with views stretching down over the sea. It is a family friendly resort. While we were there temperatures were in the high 30s, the shop and beach are a decent walk away, a hire care makes things much more pleasant than walking up a steep hill to get back from the beach. The taverna just down the road is very good and worth a try as is the the restaurant on the beach. Villa Rosa is a nice place for a drink with an amazing view. No where is very far from the Ideales Resort and it makes a really lovely base for a holiday. We booked it online and had a prompt response from them together with a set of really easy to follow directions from the airport. They even had suggestions for hire car companies which we used as the usuals were all fully booked. All in all we would go back and we highly recommend them

Overall it had lots of positives. Best things were: - wonderful beaches nearby - villa was spotless and beautiful with lovely scented fruit trees and herbs by the pool - they organised us a good tour guide who drove us around the island to show us some other attractions - good supermarket nearby - they left us a very nice welcome hamper - nearby argostoli town was wonderful But we were a little surprised and disappointed by some other things especially after so many excellent reviews we had read: - we stayed in the last week of the season (mid October) and they started doing noisy building work on some of the villas around us and a few of the staff we saw seemed grumpy towards us giving the impression they were unhappy that guests were still there. A woman (perhaps staff?) with a dog moved into one villa across from us which was the focus of the building work and when I walked past and said hello, she responded with an annoyed look. Her dog growled and chased me and my child, after which we didn’t feel safe strolling around the villas and I even feared the dog coming into our villa’s garden as there was no fencing. -There were also one or two aggressive seeming dogs in the area we had to walk though to get to the supermarket so again it didn’t feel all that relaxing to go for a local walk. - it was too cold to use the unheated pool in mid October (fine, not a surprise to us) and it was very cold at night in the villa (again fine). But when I asked staff for a duvet or another blanket I again got a grumpy response - communication with the managers / staff seemed a bit unwelcoming and ungracious in general, not what I was expecting and it left us with a slightly bad feeling. Overall a wonderful island, wonderful area, wonderful beaches and town nearby, villas very nice but the staff communication slightly let it all down.
