At check in I was notified that the hotel overbooked, and they were unable to provide the 2 queen bed room that I had booked 6 weeks ago prior to my check in. This made the hotel stay very diappointing for me and my sister as we were looking to have our own beds. I ended up having to pay for a room and sleep on an most uncomfortable sofa bed. On top of this, there was a terrible lack of customer service at check in. The guy working the front desk who checked me in, gave me one room key, and didnt not say much else. He did not provide the introductory information for the hotel services. He was short with me when I asked additional questions and an extra key for the 2nd guest staying with me. The hotel room door sticks and was hard to close. I consider this a safety issue as well as an annoyance. Because of the busy schedule I had to keep, the property manager was not available when I was able to speak to them. There are also no microwaves which was disappointing. We were not compensate in anyway for the hotel's mistake that cause the uncomfortable inconvenience and disappointing stay. It would have been nice to have been told 1-3 days prior to the 4pm check in that the hotel was unable to provide what was expected so I could have made other arrangements at a different place to have the optimal stay while in Murfreesboro for a conference.
