The Victoria Inn

Wonderful Inn. Loved every minute of it. Can’t wait to go back. There are plenty of things to do right in the town of Murphys. Just steps outside of the end or tons of tasting rooms, restaurants breweries, spice stores, boutiques, and nice parks to walk around.

Great place. Spacious room. Didn’t give 5 stars because Continental Breakfast is not available until 8:30am. Some of us like to start our day earlier. But if you’re a late riser or like sleeping in, this is a place for you. I still wouldn’t mind returning here.

We stayed in the Eucalyptus Suite, which is just as lovely in person as in the photos. And very thoughtfully appointed - everything including a USB hub, corkscrew, flashlight, chess set and even salt and pepper in the well equipped kitchenette. However, this room is not especially senior friendly. We are in our 70s, reasonably fit and healthy, but do try to avoid situations where we could fall. The bed's mattress came up to my waist. I was able to use the provided bed steps to get in, but had to carefully slide down and sort of thump to the floor to exit. My husband, who is taller, was able to sort of hop in. The beautiful tub was too tall for us to feel comfortable getting in and out of, so we relied on sink baths during our stay. If you are younger, fitter or less cautious, you will love this room. Otherwise, give it some thought. The included continental breakfast was very nice and the lovely woman in charge of it could not have been more welcoming. All the employees were great. In general you will be happy staying here.

The roon exceeded my expectations. Lange and quite. And a short distance from the main ***** in Murphys. Staff were very attentive and helpful. The metal roof would pop when the air changed. But not a big deal. We got use to it quickly. Would definitely stay here again.

The room was clean and comfortable. Downstairs has a nice common area to study and do work in. There's coffee and snacks in the common lounge. It's in a nice neighbourhood with many shops within walking distance. Parking is also plenty. It's just outside Stanislaus and Calavera Big Trees national forests and fairly close to Yosemite, so the location is also convenient for a trip to the national parks.

Our quaint room was just as expected, clean and suited the decor and atmosphere of the area. The bed was very comfortable and the claw foot bathtub was great. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony sipping the wine we had just purchased from one of the local wineries. The people were very pleasant and told us of some fun places to go. We will definitely be back!

Kitchen is superb along with furnishings. Very little staples, oil, vinegar etc. so bring your own. Beds are very comfortable and location cannot be best. Bathroom amenities are sparse but towels are fluffy and clean. We’ve stayed in many places in Murphys and this one is our favorite.

We loved our stay at Dove nest. Clean, comfortable and a great location. Just a couple of blocks from the main *****, which was perfect. The place was furnished nicely and the kitchen was stocked with anything you might need to cook. We can’t wait to go again!

The staff at Victoria Inn did everything they could to make our stay comfortable and welcoming. They worked with me to get rooms to best suit our family group and gave us restaurant recommendations, They even gave us plastic bags to hold the very muddy clothing and boots we had after attending an outdoor wedding on the rainiest day in May ever. We hope to return soon.
