I recently stayed at ST Regis Al Mouj, Muscat, one of the newest and most expensive five-star hotels in Muscat. While the property itself is impressive, my experience with their customer service was highly disappointing. I accidentally left my mobile charger in the room and have been following up for a long time. However, the hotel staff denied finding anything and showed no effort in addressing my concern. What’s even more disappointing is the complete lack of response or even a simple apology from the management. For a hotel of this caliber, I expected better professionalism and accountability. Losing an item can happen anywhere, but a five-star hotel should have a proper lost-and-found policy and a responsible approach to guest concerns. Because of this experience, I would rather stay at a more affordable property that values guest satisfaction over just luxury. I also advise future guests to be extra cautious with their belongings, as the management does not take responsibility for lost items.
