Firstly, the Tripadvsor listing is confusing. The bistro is no longer there, it is now called Wilder and is across the road in another location. The old bistro is now rental apartments. That said, the rooms above are as listed on TA. We stayed in the Sorrel Room which was of a good standard. Entrance to the upper floor rooms are via the rear of the building. You gain entry via a code that worked well. Location is in the heart of Nailswoth and parking is either in the 3 spaces at the front of the building, or just up the hill if they're full. The building is old so expect creaking floorboards everywhere, walls are thin so you do hear other residents unfortunately, Breakfast items are provided in the rooms and replenished daily, good quality granola, yoghurt, muffins, juice, milk, tea and coffee. Bathroom was small and nowhere to hang two towels is an oversight, just some hooks would suffice. Also, lack of shelf space in the bathroom was frustrating. Bed was very soft so not comfortable for us as we like hard beds, but that's a personal preference. Lovely stainless window was handmade by a local artist. Other windows are roof opening by a velux remote control panel on the wall which worked perfectly. Sitting room area with sofa and TV was spacious enough for two people maximum and comfortable. One tip - if you need a taxi, forget it !! We had dinner booked at a local country hotel but having tried Uber and several local co's could not get one so had to cancel dinner plans. Overall a pleasant stay.
