Bed & Breakfast Il Golfo

Located in a busy square. This turned out to be a hole in the wall. Shabby and shady. Proper signage at the entrance would have helped. See photo. Just five rooms on the 7th Floor reached by an old ramshackle lift where you have to put in a 10 Euro cents coin to operate. I had to borrow a coin. Reception only till 4 pm, just got in at 4, given the key to the room, another to the hotel floor and yet another to the main entrance at the street level in case a guest wants to go out. One has to as there's no restaurant in the hotel. No staff at the hotel after 4 p.m. If there's any emergency, two telephone nos were given to call. Was told breakfast would be brought to the room at 8 a.m. It was. Tea/coffee making things were kept in a common area. The bath towels were the worst I have seen. So co**** and rough I thought they were bath mats. A child can easily scrape his skin with that kind of towel. The bath cubicle flooded in minutes as the bath water didn't drain out fast. The bathroom light comes on automatically when one enters and after a few minutes goes off unless there is movement in the wash basin and commode area. When I was under the shower the light went off and I had to get out dripping wet and show myself to the light! Utterly surprised that the star rating for this hotel is *** three stars!

Mi viene prenotato questo B&B per due notti. Ubicato all'ultimo piano di un vecchio palazzo a poca distanza dalla stazione ferroviaria di Napoli dove per prendere l'ascensore occorre pagare ogni volta 10 centesimi. La prima notte rientro con la famiglia dopo aver cenato e verifico che il climatizzatore (di marca cinese) non funziona, il tutto proprio in un periodo torrido. Chiamo il proprietario il quale molto stizzito e scocciato (erano solo le 22.30) mi riferisce che a quell'ora non poteva fare nulla e che se insistevo ancora per il suo intervento mi avrebbe fatto lasciare la camera (incredibile !!! mai sentita una cosa del genere !!!). Arriva dopo 15 minuti con aria tracotante e litigiosa, mi dice che mi sarei dovuto arrangiare. Comprendo la maleducazione del personaggio e soprattutto la modesta voglia di risolvere il problema (mi sarei aspettato che almeno portasse qualche ventilatore), chiudo l'argomento e mi rassegno alla notte insonne. Finestra aperta, chiasso di autovetture fino alle 4 di notte e mega rissa di extracomunitari che stazionano sempre da quelle parti (rendendo peraltro il rientro notturno molto pericoloso). Il giorno dopo si presenta con un condizionatore portatile tipo pinguino de longhi che praticamente non funziona a dovere. Colazione servita in camera con mezzi di fortuna (bicchieri di plastica, ecc). Ho preferito farla in un vicino bar. Dulcis in fundo, la mattina allertati a lasciare la camera alle 10 per bel due volte di seguito. Signori una tale inospitalità non l'ho vista da nessuna parte.
