We booked a room at Leo Patre Hotel for 1 night. Afterwards we added a second night. When we arrived we were told that Leo Patre was already full so we were given a "upgrade" in the Jimmy's Pyramids view. We felt very rushed by the guy, he told us to get cash. He tries to convince you he is honest and wants the best. Then he asks to pay for the hotel and additionally you can book a tour, which we did (to be honest this was our own fault). After having a good night we checked and found out that Jimmy's view was cheaper than Leo Patre. The latter one had a gym, pyramid room view, hot tub. Jimmy's view had none of them. We were charged more than we had to pay for Leo Patre while the room/hotel in Jimmy's view was not as good as the description for Leo Patre. Next day we decide to search for Leo Patre, we didn't find the hotel. Then we decided to leave after the first night. We tried to bargain on a refund. First we had an agreement, then Jimmy left for half an hour, then Jimmy showed up with a "friend" (to intimidate). Finally, 2 hours after the beginning of our conversation/bargaining they started to "discuss" in the lobby. Then we decided to leave, under pressure (we had to take the train to Aswan) we had to accept some money, in fact this was only the Pyramid tour we had booked earlier. So no refund for the hotel. When we left the hotel told we didn't show up so we had to pay an extra fine. Besides this scam, room is ok, breakfast is bad (some bread, fries and tasteless falafel), one room had a broken shower. Avoid this place at all cost!

We had a mixed experience about this Inn, I'll try and keep this review civil and hope it helps you make an informed decision. The hotel is situated in a less-than-desirable area, which was a bit off-putting upon arrival. However, one of the saving graces of our stay was the helpfulness of Muhammed. He went above and beyond to assist us during our time there, which we truly appreciated. One major downside of this hotel was the unreliable WiFi connection. As travelers who rely on internet access for various purposes, this was quite frustrating. It's definitely something to consider if you need consistent connectivity during your stay. Another important thing to note is that the city view (which is a horrible alley..... with horse dung everywhere and very Noisy ) and pyramid view (whose view is blocked by dilapidated buildings) rooms are different, but this distinction is not clearly indicated during the booking process. For guests who have specific expectations about their accommodation, this might be very disappointing.

My son and I stayed at Jimmy's for the days we toured Giza. It was an oasis in the middle of a very intensely noisy and busy city. The owner and his family run the business of providing food, comfort and ease for tourists needing all of the above. The breakfast was wonderful, the view from the rooftop (where food is served) was stunning any time of the day or night. When we needed help booking a Nile cruise, complete with guides and tickets, Jimmy Jr. arranged everything for us. We really didn't know what to expect once we left the hotel but every step of the way we had what we needed and guides for everything at a reasonable price. Thank you to each member of the family for how much kindness they showed and for their help with everything. I can't say enough good about them. Hala was, like her name says, a truly welcoming presence. And her food was the best!

Great location and view of the pyramids. Also known as Jimmy’s hotel. We had a really warm welcome from Jimmy. The roof too bar looks directly at the pyramids and you can watch the sound and light show in the evening. The falafels for breakfast were great. The sunrise and sunset over the pyramids too.

I stayed for 5 nights at beautiful hotel. Firstly, the bedroom and hotel itself was exceptionally clean and in good condition. The people at the hotel gave excellent recommendations on tours and advice on traveling around Giza and Cairo. The cost for the 5 nights was very affordable. In addition, the food in the rooftop restaurant, especially the breakfast, was amazing. Highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel advertises under 2 names in ***********. Sphinx Golden Gate and Jimmy Pyramids View. It is the perfect scam: they get more bookings than their availability, then they replace guests in another cheaper hotel and charge the original price. They did this to me last December, the hotel I had booked did not exist, it was Sphinx. And they claimed to have overbooking, put me in another hotel and charged the booking price, and then I found out the new hotel (without restaurant or other facilities) was one third the price they made me pay!

Hôtel très agréable avec un magnifique rooftop vue sur les pyramides où nous avons pu boire le thé à notre arrivée ainsi que le petit déjeuné le lendemain qui était très bon. Les chambres sont propres et agréables. En revanche, le cartier est assez bruyant. Le personnels étaient très accueillant et sympathique.

Bien placé, proche des pyramides Quartier un peu paumé, assez bruyant Chambre petite, mais convenable avec salle de bains et WC Petit déjeuner sur la terrasse avec vue sur les pyramides ... la vue est bien, le petit déjeuner nul (lent et pas bon)

Hotel très bien placé avec un roof top qui permet de disposer d'une vue superbe sur les pyramides. Les chambres sont propres et bien équipées. Le petit déjeuner local est parfait, la propriétaire est une bonne cuisinière
