Our experience at the Hyatt Hotel in the New Orleans Warehouse District left much to be desired. Unfortunately, the room we were assigned had issues with the air conditioning, merely circulating air without providing any cooling relief. Additionally, the main light in the room was non-functional, adding to our overall dissatisfaction.
To our dismay, we later discovered that friends who had stayed in the same room the day before for a wedding encountered identical problems and were subsequently relocated to another room. Having just completed a seven-hour drive, we unpacked and settled in before uncovering these issues approximately two hours later.
Our check-in was on a Saturday, and we checked out at midnight on Sunday. When we brought these concerns to the attention of the front desk staff, we were informed that, despite the inconveniences and unresolved issues, we would still be charged for Monday. Disappointingly, no compensation or refund was offered for the inconvenience and discomfort we experienced during our stay.
Furthermore, an additional frustration was the $39 per night parking fee, despite the fact that we never utilized our vehicle during our stay. This unexpected charge added to our overall dissatisfaction with the experience at the Hyatt Hotel in the Warehouse District.
