Hôtel le Francis

The room was great, with a balcony facing the river and wooded area. Lots of room to move around. Restaurant food and service was excellent. Wonderful breakfast especially. You could notice road noise from highway from the balcony, but still a good place to read.

I was looking for a nice, clean, comfortable hotel to sleep overnight on the way to Percé. Due to the last-minute nature of our trip, we did not have a lot of selection but when I saw that this 4-star hotel in a town I had never heard of before had one room left, I jumped on it. The pictures from the hotel really gave me the impression that it was a new and spacious hotel room. Upon arrival however, I realized it was really a motel with some higher-end finishes. Upon opening our first floor room off the parking lot (I admit that is practical to have direct access), the smell of bleach and a smell I would associate with older stuffier motel rooms I was looking to avoid, assaulted our senses. I worried I had made a bad decision but what choice did we have. Then we aired out the room and acclimated to the smell quickly then I felt better about being there. The beds were comfortable and clean, the bathroom was nicely renovated though a tight squeeze; they even provided nice new looking bathrobes; the connections to the tv were easily accessible on a dashboard so we could use our firestick and wifi was fast enough to stream a movie after dinner. The view of the small river was pleasant the next morning in the big sun, we could see the emerald green water. The motel has 2 kayaks you can borrow after 9am, an outdoor hot tub and paths to walk. There is a restaurant on site but we opted for a nearby restaurant that was excellent and more in our budget. All in all despite the noisy air conditioner and once we cleared the air, it was a very nice stay.

Last minute booking during an early return trip. A really nice surprise! First class service from all personnel (front desk, restaurant, cleaning staff). Really spacious immaculately clean modern rooms. The restaurant overlooking the river. A truly pleasant experience all around!

A welcoming reception. The property appears to be newer. Rooms are fresh and clean. Dining room offers a good evening menu. We shared a steak which was enough. The yogurt parfait at breakfast was outstanding. We took a morning walk along the hotel’s nature path. A nice start to our day. The pool, etc was closed for the season. We highly recommend.

Another hotel on our tour that was right by a river which gave an extremely pleasant view from the balcony when having an evening drink. We stayed in a comfort room which was a decent size, clean and comfortable. Bathroom was also modern and very clean. We went to the restaurant for the evening, serving decent food with a good view of the river while it poured with rain outside.

Our experience was poor from the time of booking to our departure. Our reservation was wrong, our supper reservation , we waited over an hour. English was not spoken. I travel this area a lot and plan to use another hotel elsewhere. The property is nice and the food was good. Too bad!

Do not stay here if you want to sleep. There are kids yelling, jumping up and down, running up and down the hallway, out on the balcony. I have called the front desk and nothing has been done. It is almost midnight.

Bel établissement hôtelier offrant la plupart des commodités. Je tiens à mentionner plus particulièrement la grande courtoisie et le professionnalisme du personnel d'accueil. Seul bémol, la moquette dans les chambres et le corridor qui semble un peu crasseuse.

Impossible de faire check in avant 16h même si on demande de faire une exception car nous avons un bébé de 22 mois à 14h pm qui voudrait dormir Piscine gelée .. spa défectueux lors de nos deux présences à plusieurs mois d'écart entre nos visites Employer de réception qui nous donne les heures de déjeuners sans nous préciser de réserver .. résultat à 8h10 le dimanche matin le resto est complet et on nous demande de revenir plus tard mais le check out doit être fait pour 10h Les employers de room service qui cognent aux portes à 8h30 le matin pour réveiller les clients pour qu'ils soient parti pour 10h... nous étions plusieurs chambres côte à côte et ils nous ont tous réveiller sans exception Lit très confortable .. personnel du restaurant très courtois et nourriture très très bonne
