Boteti Tented Safari Lodge

We are a family of six adults and have just arrived home to Canada following a fantastic 4 day mobile camping safari. This is the second camping safari we have done with them. We encountered an endless array of wildlife up close: lions, leopards, wild dogs, hyenas, elephants, buffalos, countless bird species and the list goes on. This was due in large part to our guide David's knowledge, skill and patience. Thanks to our chef and camp staff we had wonderful food, great wilderness camp sites, and comfy tents. I can't say enough about how professional and caring everyone was. It was great to sit around the campfire and share life stories. Thank you Boteti Tented Safari Lodge for making this a truly unforgettable experience.

Being one of the Stakeholders, operating in NG32/35, it happened that i found Boteti Tented Camp stuck in the Middle of the Bush with Guests to partake on a Mokoro Activity (Dug Out Cannoe) and i samritainly borrowed them my High Lift Jack, which they are in denial to return it back to my Office. Please advice them to bring what belongs to my Office as i have vigorously made calls to themto their office now they are not taking my calls as they know all of my numbers . I called Justice (********) the manager, but he seems to be playing hard to get. This company doesn't know how to be assisted. **************************

We were very exited to visit Boteti Tented Safari lodge to experience the perfect safari feel in a remote location in a luxury tent. To listen to the calls of the night whilst sipping wine. We thought that calls of the night whilst experiencing the safari feeling, would be lion, hyena or even jackal. Not here. Instead we heard cows ‐ with bells atound their necks - donkeys, dogs and chickens. People riding on donkeys and horses past the 'lodge'. Our luxury tent was a normal safari tent with very little shade in the afternoon, making it very unpleasant inside. Our daytrip to Moremi was a long and bumpy one. Most probably of all the rains we had. It took +- 4 - 5 hours to reach the Moremi gate. Very unpleasant drive. In hindsight, I would rather have spent our money on a real safari where the real sounds of the African night can be heard. Except if you like the sounds of donkeys, cows, chickens and dogs. Then this place is for you. Go there! The staff is amazing and do their u**ost to keep one happy. Sadly a very unpleasant experience for us.

One of the lonely gems in the luxury tourism of Botswana. Managed and owned by locals it offers and authentic experience of the Okavango delta and its animals without having to afford the luxury of a lot of other places. The staff was so lovely!

We had a great stay at Boteti tented safari lodge. The staff were really friendly and the lodge is so beautiful. We loved every minute of our stay there. If we ever come back to Botswana we’ll definitely be back.

Very bad experience. There is no manager on the staff. This means that if you encounter difficulties at camp, you must be able to cope on your own. Following a problem encountered, we asked to contact a manager but it seems that it is not possible to contact them in any way. We had a big storm during the night, the light fell from the ceiling on my parents. They had no lighting all night. We tried going to reception at 9pm to call someone for 30 minutes but no one answered. Departure for the safari at 5 a.m. and therefore very difficult to prepare in complete darkness! And to top it off, when we returned from this safari, there was no apology from us despite our remarks in the morning, but one of the staff members approached us when we got out of the Jeep, telling us that we had not paid for our entire stay. !!! It's very far from the town and only 4x4s can access the camp, so if you have big problems. For example, if you break something that falls off the ground and is very slippery, it is impossible to reach anyone in the camp and you cannot access the town. - there is also no mosquito net (???) in a place where all kinds of insects are everywhere during the night. I must have killed 20 during the 2 nights I spent there - from our point of view, the boss of this camp does not care at all about his visitors and the staff. He has only set up camp and is waiting for the money to arrive

The tent was perfect, very nice and big bathroom with separate toilet and shower. We didn’t use the big fan because of the noise and the huge amount of wind that came out. It almost blew us out of our bed! Kitchen could be better, also breakfast could have some more attention and different spreads/cheese.

We did a 10 day safari tour with Boteti, including 2 tented mobile safari trips (3 nights and 1 night) and were hosted inside the tented lodge outside Maun. The Guides and staff were just awesome and the food was always delicious and what the chefs and camp hands organized at the mobile safaris was just mind-blowing. Also the guides we had on our Game-Drives were just awesome and knowledgeble and answered all our questions directly or later. We can highly recommend Boteti as Tour Operator. Small minus for the Mokoro Safaris, but those were operated by external people.

We loved our 2 nights at Boteti Tented Lodge. This is a small camp with just a handful of luxury tents, so it was a very personal experience. The food was excellent, the tent lovely and very comfortable -- we even really enjoyed the mostly-outside ensuite bathroom. Getting to know the others staying at the lodge was a highlight, as was sitting on the riverside viewing deck. All very relaxing. There are a lot of cows and goats wandering through too -- we found it fun to better see how people live in this region. The best part was the staff, who were very friendly and warm and we enjoyed getting to know them. Our only suggestion would be better labor rules for the staff -- we wished the staff got more (paid!) time off, since they work so hard and live far from their families!
