The homestay garden and rooms were absolutely beautiful! The food was great! Most importantly... My teen/adult kids have not stopped raving about how amazing Luong was. He took us out for New Year's Eve (wow!), came and tracked us down when out bike riding to deliver us a fixed bike etc etc. Hard to explain what makes him special but he is indeed a lovely person. I recommend you ask if he's available to be a guide if you are looking for one! I was unsure about the location because everyone seemed to be recommending Tam Coc. I'm not at all sorry we stayed here! One of our most favourite things was getting on the bikes and exploring around the village and laneways. Even riding into Ninh Binh Itself (market and other suggestions from Luong) was lots of fun. Stay here if you prioritise beauty, lovely people and exploring. Perhaps stay in Tam Coc if you are wanting night life and touristy restaurants every night. It is good to be aware that there is noise from traffic down the laneway and a little bit of local karaoke. I'd still 100 percent recommend!!!!!!!!

The owners are educated, bright, eager to please, speak English, cook delicious food and are so gracious. This homestay is perfect and relaxing yet close to activities. Toan, our local guide, kept us as busy as we wanted. I would return ♥️♥️♥️ in a heartbeat! We rode bicycles, went in boats, paddled through caves and saw things that I never dreamt existed. The entire Provence is a UNESCO heritage site so e wry where you go is beautiful and unique. Go there … you will love it.

From the moment we arrived we have been welcomed with such warmth. Our room was large with 2 huge windows overlooking the gardens… spotlessly clean with air con and fan the bathroom has a large walk in shower. Luong speaks great English and his tours for us were brilliant … very patient stopping for me to take so many photos. We had dinner with his beautiful family. The gardens are lovely to sit in… with a hammock and a swing… there is a large terrace on the 2nd floor as well as your balcony with chairs and table. We felt staying here we got a glimpse of the real Vietnamese…come n stay… you will be so happy you did

Perfect stay, loved the place, quiet with a very nice garden. Really relaxing. Luong and his family are really nice and super helpfull. We booked 2 full days with him and it was great. We ate very fresh and very good food we even asked for a goat barbecue and it was super good. We totally recommend the place.

What a wonderful two nights we spent at An Phu Homestay. Luong our host was extremely hospitable, with any issues sorted straight away. The homestay is not positioned in Tam Coc, which may put some people off, but we were happy to be away from the tourist area. The rooms were very clean, had all amenities you could need and we were more than happy with it. Luong and his wife are wonderful cooks and I highly recommend you enjoy their breakfasts and get them to make dinner for you!! Don't forget to ask for some 'happy water', it is spectacular!!! Oh, don't forget, make sure the hot water switch is turned on when you shower. We found out the hard way, thinking we had no hot water.. oops!! Thank you so much for a great stay!!

Our stay with 4 people at Homestay An Phu in Ninh Binh was fantastic! We were impressed by the high quality, good hygiene, and fantastic service provided. The owner was very helpful and always ready to assist us. Renting scooters was easily arranged, and we received valuable tips for trips in Ninh Binh. The food was absolutely delicious and prepared upon our request. What made the stay extra special was the cozy atmosphere created by the owner, who joined us for a pleasant drink in the evening and shared a lot about life in Vietnam. We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend An Phu Homestay to anyone visiting Ninh Binh. — Ons verblijf met 4 personen in de Homestay genaamd An Phu in Ninh Binh was geweldig! We waren onder de indruk van de hoge kwaliteit, uitstekende hygiëne en de fantastische service die we kregen. De eigenaar was zeer behulpzaam en stond altijd klaar om ons te helpen. Het lenen van scooters was gemakkelijk geregeld en we kregen waardevolle tips voor uitstapjes in Ninh Binh. Het eten was absoluut heerlijk en werd op ons verzoek bereid. Wat het verblijf extra speciaal maakte, was de gezellige sfeer die de eigenaar creëerde door 's avonds met ons een drankje te drinken en veel te vertellen over het leven in Vietnam. We hebben echt genoten van ons verblijf en zouden An Phu Homestay aan iedereen aanbevelen die Ninh Binh bezoekt. — Kỳ nghỉ của chúng tôi cùng 4 người tại Homestay An Phú ở Ninh Bình thật tuyệt vời! Highly recommend Luong as a tour guide. We booked a last minute tour. He is so knowledgeable on the area. Very kind and generous with his time. Took us to many local spots and off tourist path scenic views. Very respectful. If you go to Ninh Binh or surrounding areas, you MUST get his tour. Unforgettable experience.

We had a lovely time. Luong, our host was so attentive. He was our tour guide for the day as well. The accommodation is homely and comfortable. We loved our stay. Only complaint is we should have stayed longer.
