Staff asked what time we’d be arriving at the property and we informed them with plenty of notice the time which was well within reception hours. The staff member was not there and we had to wait for them to return. Very dirty. Our shared bathroom was cleaned once in our 6 night stay. It was quite frankly filthy. The shower was also tiny and not much room to wash. The room was advertised as a double or twin room and we requested a double 4 months before arrival at the point of booking. The day before our arrival we were told they do not have any double rooms on site - not sure why this was advertised. The bedroom was very hot - no aircon and we were provided a fan that was absolutely useless. The pillows were depleted and lumpy. We actually dreaded coming back to the accommodation each night and stayed out for as long as we could. This is student accommodation so filled with young people who are noisy in the evenings and inconsiderate when cleaning up after themselves in the kitchen. Having said this, there was no anti-bacterial spray available to clean up after yourself which added to the issue. There is also a kindergarten situated right next door which was noisy every morning. The students also had a bad sense of personal hygiene and in all communal areas there was a foul smell of body odour which was not pleasant. You are provided with one knife, fork, spoon, plate and bowl per person and a small locker/space in the fridge for the duration of your stay. The wifi was terrible. Very slow when working but intermittent most of the time. I find it hard to believe students manage to do their work using this.
