Lovely place with los of flowers in the garden.The meals are delicius , the view is great and the staff is very friendly.rooms and cleaning also excellent with great beds which are so confortable after long game drive hope to come back some time.

Fort Murchison Lodge in Pakwach exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with exceptional hospitality that made us feel right at home. The lodge is impeccably clean, and the ambience is simply fantastic, with beautifully crafted rooms that added to the charm of our stay. Our family had an unforgettable experience, and we can't thank the team enough for their warmth and attentiveness. Definitely deserving of a five-star rating! The fantastic food was another highlight of our stay. Each meal was a culinary delight, with a variety of delicious dishes to choose from. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, every bite was a treat for the taste buds. The talented chefs truly outdid themselves, and we savored every moment of our dining experience.

The lodge looks a lot better than the pictures on their website. Our room was very comfortable, nice beds, mosquito nets and the shower was decent. The fan in the room was great! The lodge is run on solar power so there is no fridge, kettle or hair dryer in the rooms, but that didn’t bother us. You get a bottle of water in the room, but the restaurant also has a water tank where you can fill up your own bottle no charge. Amazing, I wish each lodge had this. The staff was very friendly. A special shout out to the chef who cooked up the most delicious vegan meals for us! They will accommodate you, just inform the staff. The location is the only downside, it’s about 30-40 mins drive from the national park gate. It’s mostly on a dirt road, but keep a look out for elephants. On our way there, we had to stop for a few minutes because an elephant decided the road is the best place to chill Quite an experience and it was good to see that no cars hooted or anything. We were patiently waiting for the bull to move, respecting their home.

We loved our stay at fort murchison lodge. We had a long and hot journey and on our arrival the staff brought us cold towels and a cold fruit juice, we were amazed by this warm welcome. I also have coeliac disease (allergy to gluten) and on arrival one of the first questions asked was whether any of the guests had allergies. After explaining my allergy I was reassured that the meals could be adapted and that they would prepare the food separately to prevent cross contamination. For the staff to mention allergies and cross contamination without me having to raise this was really impressive as it is rare in Uganda. The food was delicious, the chef really knows his flavours, and I did not feel I was missing out by being gluten free. The staff were also really friendly and we felt well looked after. You can have breakfast from 5:30am which is useful for early morning game drives. Also they can prepare packed lunches for you which cost around 30,000 shillings. This is an ideal lodge for a safari/game drive and could not recommend it more. Beautiful grounds and lovely pool. Be warned that the road to the lodge is very bumpy and so if you get car sickness you need to be prepared for this.

What a beautiful place to start our journey in Uganda! The tent we stayed was so beautiful and comfy and the food was always superb and high quality! The shared bathroom was always tidy and clean! ☺️ Although we were always out early in the morning and back late in the evening, we managed to see the beautiful landscape it offers from the terrace! Wow, amazing!

Stayed here for three nights when on safari in Murchison Falls NP. The place is very Nice, I like the architectural layout of the Lodge. And there is a swimming pool. Food was good, and the service level was High indeed. I recommend Fort Murchison.

We stayed in a tent with shared bathroom and toilets. Everything was wonderful and clean. The staff were very helpful. The pool was a great thing to have after a long game drive. We were very lucky that we spent six nights here and five days in the NP. You might be wondering why not five stars. Well for us there were two downsides to the place 1) the road getting to the place is in need of some improvement, and the lodge is quite away from the main road 2) our guide/driver likes a mixture of local and more international food. Even tho he asked for local food and we know the staff were eating local food, he was told that this is an extra process and therefore would not be done

Fort Murchison was our first stay in Uganda and they set the bar high! The rooms were clean, spacious and fully protected against insects coming in. We had a tent booked but the staff gave us a free upgrade to a banda (without mentioning it) so thank you for that. They all were very kind and always ready to help. When you get back from safari, you can sit in the grass before dinner and watch a beautiful sunset over the river.

The staff was so kind and went above and beyond for us. After our long day we were met at the entrance with fresh juice and read the dinner menu for the evening, which consisted of a delicious four course meal. The candle lit dinner overlooked the nile and a beautiful sunset. The morning breakfast included amazing fresh fruits, coffee, pancakes, eggs, and sausage! The rooms were clean and comfortable. There was a beautiful terrace for us to enjoy drinks after a long day out in the park. Would definitely stay here again.
