The room was spacious and as clean as any hotel room I have ever been in. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The bed was comfortable. The Inn has golf carts available for daily rental. There is a restaurant next door that is a great breakfast place. We would not hesitate to return to this Inn.

This was our second time staying at the Pony Island Inn. Excellent customer servce from Kim and Roger as they made our checkin and checkout easy. Our room was very clean. Great restaurants within walkng distance from the Inn. Enjoyed our stay.

Such a great place to stay! Located in the best location, within walking distance to so much. Views were gorgeous from our room and we spent an afternoon just sitting on the porch in the sun while our toddler napped. We had full access to the living room space and kitchen, while she slept in the bedroom. Perfect family getaway. We loved our stay and would recommend it to everyone, especially those with toddlers and babies who might be nervous about accommodations. The banker pony suite was perfect! You can't get more authentic Ocracoke than the Pony Island Inn.

This one is a family favorite, but can be hit or miss. The rooms overlooking the pool in building 1 provide a dramatically different experience than those in building 2. We prefer the former. We love this place regardless, and the nearby diner offers the best breakfast within 60 miles!

The man who checked us in was very friendly and informative. We had a room with a kitchen and two double beds. It had everything we needed to prepare our dinner and breakfast; important since most restaurants were not open at the end of February. We really liked Okracoke Island and hope to return (and would stay at the Pony Island Inn).

The front desk staff was EXCEPTIONAL!!! I cannot say enough about their kindness and hospitality. They helped us understand the Hatteras Ferry schedules so we would not miss it for our son's basketball game. The room we stayed in was super clean, cozy, and just what we needed. We will stay again! :)

Fishing weekend with terrible weather, and 2 night stay. Garrish suite was large, clean, nice bathroom. Nice owner. Good location and parking. Seemed expensive for what we got in the offseason. The hotel is old, with very old but workable cooktop, microwave, refrigerator. The walls and ceilings are very thin, sounded like hippos in room above us at night, not only noise but vibrated our bed. The sofa bed was terrible, extremely uncomfortable and noisy with any movement, the frame appears warped. This needs replaced. The tv's are too small, especially the one in the bedroom, and doesn't use entire screen (presumably due to old tvs). Could not evaluate other amenities due to time of year, weather. If you're thinking of going fishing this late, wouldn't book it until right before and you know weather will be ok. I couldn't do that for various reasons in this case, and proved to be a big mistake.
