Where to start? My now wife and I were planning a destination wedding when we came across sandals. We had a large group of 24 people planning on attending so sandals seemed perfect. Upon arrival the people in the airport were immediately rude, cramming us into busses that shouldn't fit as many people as it did. Rushing us through customs to an airport that doesn't have air conditioning. ( its essentially 89 every day but were in the island vibe so not that big of deal ) We get to the resort winding through some tight streets and nearly scraping buildings which was a terrifying ride to say the least! Check in was fairly quick and easy, however at 4:30 PM rooms were not ready so they said go find some food and come back it will be ready by the time you eat. No biggie we were starving, we decided quick and easy go grab some pizza by the beach right? MEGA disclaimer, this resort is built around serving groups of 2-4 MAXIMUM. We had MULTIPLE instances of this, where if you asked to be seated as a group of any more than 4 the servers did 1 of 2 things. Outright refused, OR seated you all and waited on you at completely separate times. Meaning taking orders for 4 people, then putting them in, ignoring the other 4 and then coming back so you were eating nearly 30-40 min difference between the groups. Back to the pizza, it took nearly 50 min to get a 8 inch pizza not even remotely joking, I had to go back up and ask 3 times to get water ( which they are always running out of at every location nearly impossible to get. Bring water bottles and fill them in the Gyms so you don't have to rely on people who clearly hate you ) We requested everyone with the wedding number be put in the similar buildings/accomodations to what they booked. They screwed this up so bad, they placed half our group on the Royal side, other half on the regular side, People who booked swim ups got garden view rooms and on and on and on. Then they had to fight for almost 2 days to get this remedied so we could be near each other. Now the rooms, Royal side is nice well kept and new ( obviously ) The Barbados side, out of our group of 24 people, not a single one didn't have an issue with their rooms. We had 3 groups where the AC went out. When we attempted to call to have it fixed, they literally REFUSED to answer the phones. So we make the trek to the front desk. Where we are met with an apathetic response of, " I made note " that's it, no they ill get someone on it no it'll get fixed, no apology nothing. so we went all night, and into the next day at 6 pm before we had AC when its 91 outisde, and don't forget every bar/place has no water for you either. Our neighboring friends had Mold in the shower, Their bathroom door literally fell off and caved in the wall. The list goes on Getting people to take the empty glasses and trash from your room another feat, we had a group have their room not emptied for 3 days of an 8 day stay. All of these are honestly, not even the worst parts
