Gardenia Beach Hotel - All Inclusive

hotel service focused only on German customers and for tips. the waiters were not friendly, just like the gentlemen from the reception. great location, beach, bazaars, public transport. food.... I will say this: yes, a lot of pickled vegetables. great bread. overall 6/10 and the overall rating of the hotel? 5/10 5 and not 4 because cleanliness is great.

Just returned from a great week with friends, room was large spacious over looking pool with a fridge that was topped up with water everyday. Breakfast was mainly for European guests but cereals and fresh available with Eggs cooked to order. Highlight is the private beach and the beach bar that served snacks throughout the day the fresh made to order pizza was delicious. Evening meal again plentiful most dishes either beef or chicken but still delicious with a huge selection of desserts. Good selection of All Inc drinks and a few cocktails and mocktails available at various bars throughout the hotel complex. Entertainment was ok with a kiddies disco first. Most of the guests were German so staff spoke little English but did try. All in all a great place and would definitely recommend, will definitely be making a return visit.

Loved our stay at Gardenia Beach Hotel. We were given room 5103 overlooking the pool with slides. A very clean room, spacious and comfortable. Plenty of wardrobe space, mini fridge, TV, aircon. A double and single bed were in our room, an easy chair and table with 3 chairs on veranda. Nice walk in shower with ample hot water and hair drier in bathroom. We were given towel cards free to obtain beach towels which could be used round the poops or on the free sunbeds on the beach where there was a massive beach bar you could get drinks on the all inclusive and also lunch. There was a stage here that hosted the evening entertainment. Drinks were good and were served from individual miniatures of 50ml per drink. Beer was good too. Food was of a good standard all be it aimed mainly for the German customer as the Germans occupied 90% of the hotel. This was not a problem as I don't go away to eat English food. Always nice to find fellow British that were all too eager to join in our party of 6. Entertainment was fair, we were kept entertained throughout with the fantastic animation team. All in all the Gardenia Beach Hotel was a great value holiday for us and we would not hesitate to return or recommend. Shame we only had 1 week stay. Thank you to all the staff for looking after us. Please, don't listen to the negative comments. Food is delicious! Personnel is polite and helpful! Sea is amazing! We're family of 4 and are still here - ask me any question! From all of our family - thank to all of the hotel services! We love you!

Avoid. Do not holiday in Turkey if you value your safety. The hotel staff say they don't have a phone number for the police. A quick search on google provides a phone number. This hotel (receptionist and manager) admitted they knew the couple who hit me and that they lived at the hotel but denied it to the police and I was told I needed more proof before the police would accept a crime had been committed, that I would have to find an approved translator and pay for them to make a complaint. The hotel were about as unhelpful as you can be. If this is the standard of service and help you get in Turkey I now understand why their price is less than most of Europe as you are unsafe, at high risk of harm and their police seem to blame tourists for being in the way of a Turkish person's fist.

I've just returned from my second stay in this hotel this year and I am already planning the next one. First time I came here, it was the very start of the season and this time it was a couple of weeks before season's end. This was noticeable: the staff looked quite tired after a long season and there were some small logistical limitations introduced (e.g. the beach bar was closed in the evenings). The hotel was already only half-full by that time. Despite this, everyone was still doing their best to make it a great experience for guests. And again they did a great job. Still there was a wide range of quality meals to select from in the restaurant, still a clean and well-maintained beach, still friendly looks and diligence from the personnel. And, above all, still a perfectly functional animation team full of energy and running like clockwork. No activity has been cut from the daily schedule, and even for a handful of guests, that was left this late in the year, the high-quality performances from professional artists were still on every evening. The animation programme makes all the difference. At its core, this hotel is a sleepy slow-paced place. A phlegmatic character will feel right at home: spend a day on the beach with a wide selection of refreshments readily available all day, or go to the restaurant and spend a couple of hours sipping beer by the pool, or visit an on-premise spa. This is all well and good, however, for those, that need just a bit more drive to their holiday, the animation is what makes this place really come alive -- it is the heart, that makes its blood flow, colours the days and makes them memorable. Again, special thanks goes to Ahmed and Dora for being at the top of their game. Animation team's performance is the reason why I came back the second time, and why I am coming back again. The motto of this hotel is "your second home", and this is not an empty phrase. Coming here again really does feel like coming home -- surprisingly, a lot of members of the staff actually recognise and greet you after several months, and I've seen far more familiar faces among the guests than I expected. I am deliberately not mentioning any negative points about my stay -- of course, there are some minor hiccups here and there -- same as anywhere else. But whatever slight inconveniences there are, they get fixed swiftly, and more importantly, they are completely overshadowed by the overall impression of being welcome, being among friendly faces, feeling at home. P..S. Tips: 1) If you're a beach type, you might not want to go to the main restaurant during lunch time, the "snacks" at the beach bar are full meals that can sustain you until dinner, and thus save time. 2) The cats are adorable, but don't feed them the food from the restaurant -- it's often very bad for them. Instead, buy a pack of the cat food at the reception or at a supermarket, And don't be fooled by them -- they might look hungry, but from what I've gathered, they get

Lovely hotel, lovely staff they try there best to speak English. Room lovely size with a balcony and part Seaview but did pay extra for it on arrival. TV very dissapointed as we don't always go out at night and the channels were locked to German. I did ask reception and they said "not possible" in this era of technology anything IS possible. So that would rule us out visiting again which is such a shame. This really needs addressing. Restaurant OK again aimed at the German tourist but there was always something to eat. Snack bar good Drinks good, but alcoholic spirits taste very odd. But in fairness being a Muslim country I thought the tolerance for alcohol is good. Smoking. Everywhere except inside restaurant and 1 outside terrace. You will passive smoke unless you wear an oxygen mask. Beach good, sunbeds provided and beach boy very attentive and freindly

It’s you’re considering booking this place go for it! We’ve had such a brilliant week away and for the price we paid we really don’t have much in the way of criticism to give the hotel. Quality of food is great, lots of fresh salads, pastries and bread. Always a selection of meats and fish as well. I am vegetarian and was always able to eat enough. On our arrival at 2am they had a plate of food kept for us in the restaurant which we thought was a great touch. The all inclusive drinks were definitely strong enough to get us wavy but there were ‘fancier’ cocktails you could pay a few euro for if you wanted to. There are 2 pool areas and a section of beach which seems to belong to the hotel. There is a beach bar and 2 bars by each of the pool areas. The beach bar does ice cream, burgers, pizza, chips and salad through the afternoon but there is also a little shop where you can buy crisps, sweets etc. for a reasonable price as well as souvenirs, toiletries and clothes. We didn’t use the a la carte restaurant because we enjoyed the buffet but it’s a nice touch that each all inclusive guest can use it once during their stay. Can’t fault the hygiene in the hotel either or the staff. There’s a shuttle bus to Alanya a couple of times a week but we didn’t use so can’t comment on that. Also a spa but we again we didn’t use so can’t comment too much. Cons: Whilst most of the food is labelled not all of it is. There’s not a great deal of things in the area, a few outlet malls and 1 or 2 food places. If you do go to the nearby outlet malls the shop owners are very pushy you can’t really browse in peace but that’s not really a criticism of the hotel itself just the area. The photo and tattoo parlour the hotel must be partnered with do walk around and try to sell you their services but they’re friendly enough. Again, for the price we paid we were very impressed and would definitely recommend to anybody considering a trip to Turkey. Ps. If you love cats you will have the time of your life

If your only spoken language is English Stay away!! This hotel ONLY caters for the German language and German dietary wants. The hotel itself is kept very clean, tidy and rooms are made up daily, However your problems start on check in as you will struggle to find any staff who speak more than 2 words of English literally (we had to use Google translate for everything) and this is the same across all the staff and areas in the hotel (restaurant, the bars, animation staff even the excursion sellers only speak Turkish or German). The food is of very poor standards (pink on the bone chicken) and catered to the German Market, we as a family struggled as you can't even ask what something is or if they could do some fries due to language barriers. The all inclusive bar options are limited pilsner, vodka, gin & whisky and around 4 alcoholic cocktails. The pools are freezing not heated as Germans don't like it was told this via a Google translate chat with lifeguard, the sea is much warmer, On a positive note the onsite Turkish bath massage is very much worth a visit. The evening entertainment again is poor either dancing same thing with different name or German singers. Currency preferred is euro this is how all prices are advertised however GBP or Turkish lira are accepted. The onsite shop is ok selling some good priced clothes and items, there is a photographer and hair dresser onsite too. Its Only a 10min walk to 2 good sized bazaars selling a good range of clothes, bags and gifts. We did the alanya boat trip which was fun we enjoyed the diving off the boat into the sea and the food provided was better than the hotel and the 2hr so in alanya was good as the harbour is right next to a huge shopping area. The downside was the included drinks were only cola or sprite and were they were charging 4 euro for a 330ml pilsner and again staff spoke Turkish or German
