Gran Tubla

We spend one week at Gran Tubla with our two boys (8&12) and had an excellent time. Carmen and her two sons who run the place are very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Nothing seems too much for them, it’s service with a smile. For example, on Saturday the door to the terrace broke, things like that happen sometimes. Within a few minutes the handy man, equally friendly and helpful, provisionally repaired the door so that we could use our terrace without any issues. Then, as promised, on Monday the door was properly fixed. The Gran Tubla team apologised profusely for this event which was not necessary but a kind gesture. The boys were in the swimming pool every day and while it’s not the biggest pool in the world, it worked very well for us. The view from the terrace onto the mountains (see photos) was lovely and we enjoyed sitting there while having a beverage. It’s a short walk down the hill into St. Ulrich and the place is literally at your fingertips. Parking in a dedicated garage with ample space was excellent too. There is a washing machine on the 1st floor where €5 allows to wash one, large machine load (there’s a dryer too for the same price which we didn’t use). We can also highly recommend the breakfast at €12p.p. which will be brought to your room. There are eggs, cheese, Speck, croissants, rolls, marmalade, coffee, juice, cake and Nutella. We’d like to return since the Grödner valley, St. Ulrich and Gran Tubla were truly awesome!

My friends and I stayed in an apar**ent here for 2 nights when we came to do some hiking. The grounds and rooms are very nice and clean, feeling modern and alpine at the same time. The family who runs the hotel was very kind and helpful, giving us great reviews for restaurants in town and replying promptly to our questions leading up to our arrival. On the last night of our stay (and the first night of a big holiday weekend in Italy) we popped a tire on our rental car, and one of the owners stayed after hours, calling every repair shop in the area to help us find someone who was still open and able to come fix the tire that night. He even drove one us to an A** to get cash for the repair! We will definitely be staying here when we come back and will be recommending it to all of our friends.

My sister, husband, and young daughter stayed at Gran Tubla this past week and had a wonderful stay. We were in a newly remodeled two bedroom two bathroom apar**ent that had a massive front lawn with sweeping views of the valley. It's about a 10 minute walk down to Ortisei where there are charming restaurants and stores everywhere. It was nice to be away from town a bit (although it's quite the workout going back up!) because we got the views and the peace and quiet. Our room was right next to the pool which is gorgeous and has the same views. The pool was well heated and has a covered indoor as well as uncovered outdoor area. There are common areas with loads of lounging options. The rooms were insanely nice and well decorated and stocked, not to mention very quiet. I don't think we shared walls with anybody. They were also very accommodating with some needs we had for our young daughter (a crib, a circulating fan, etc.). It was generally very young child friendly, too, and we saw lots of other families with older kids staying there, too. We had a mix-up at the end since we had been told breakfast was included when we checked in, but apparently they meant to communicate that the bread and cheese basket was the standard fare (some $ amount we weren't told) and anything else is additional, so we ordered the bread and cheese basket every morning thinking it was included in the price of our room. When we checked out and were billed for breakfasts, but they took it off of the bill because of the language miscommunication.

Lovely location overlooking the village and mountains. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apar**ent, which was well appointed and very comfortable. It has a nice swimming pool and sauna. They charge 12 euro for a breakfast which was delivered to the apar**ent, this would be my only complaint, there could have been more selection offered.

This hotel was the highlight of our trip. The apar**ent was spacious, comfortable, with an amazing view of Ortisei and the mountains - We loved everything during our stay there, the spa was amazing after a day on the slopes. The family that owns the hotel was very welcoming throughout our stay. I don't know when, but I will most certainly go back to Gran Tubla in the future.

Abbiamo passato con amici tre giorni in questi bellissimi appartamenti. Stupendi,arredati con gusto e tutto perfetto. Piscina e sauna con vista monti direi impagabile. Accoglienza e gentilezza ottima. Consiglio di fare un esperienza qui.

Voglio scrivere questa recensione mentre stiamo ancora trascorrendo la nostra vacanza al Gran Tublà proprio per premiare ancor di più questo bellissimo residence! Posto perfetto, la nostra camera è ampia e luminosa con un panorama meraviglioso su Ortisei, pulizia impeccabile, letti comodissimi, cucina dotata di ogni minimo accessorio e terrazzo attrezzato per mangiare o rilassarsi. Area relax molto bella con piscina riscaldata panoramica e sauna, personale estremamente cordiale e disponibile. La posizione nella parte alta del paese (molto vicina all'impianto Resciesa) paga un pochino la salita per arrivare ma viene premiata per tranquillità e panorama. Assolutamente da consigliare... ci torneremo sicuramente! Roberto e Rita.

E' la prima volta che andiamo in appartamento in Alto Adige e ci siamo trovati benissimo. La proprietaria ci ha assegnato un appartamento bellissimo con una grande terrazza con una vistaimpagabile. Vicino a tutti gli impianti di risalita, un comodo garage, una bella piscina calda ed un'accogliente sauna dove rilassarsi. Ottima la pulizia infrasettimanale.
