Hotel Hankyu Respire Osaka

Second time staying at this hotel. Location is fantastic, airport limo bus stops at the hotel itself (about an hour ride from airport). When going back to the airport, the bus terminal is walking distance from hotel itself with majority flat road. There is a link bridge at 2nd floor, that leads you to lucua/1100, osaka train station and further down to daimaru. Going to usj is rather convenient too as hotel is located at osaka stn that links everywhere. Hotel itself is clean, with daily house keeping if you wish to. They do not provide bottle water, but theres a water dispenser. Overall a good stay and will return again!

Laundry service is not the best with only 8 machines for so many people. Some people just leave their washing in the machine for too long. We had to call front desk to collect but after more than an hour.

Generally good and satisfying, which is why this is my third visit to this hotel. Still not enjoying the lack of bottled water and self check-in and check-out in a 4-star hotel.

Paid ¥6,600 to upgrade from a stained room — to an even more stained one We stayed for two nights as a party of three. We chose Hotel Hankyu RESPIRE Osaka partly because Hankyu is a major Japanese railway group, so we expected a dependable standard of cleanliness and service. Unfortunately, this stay rather efficiently corrected that assumption. There was initially an issue concerning the description of our Universal Triple Room, but this was promptly handled by Trip.com, so I will not dwell on it here. The real problem was cleanliness and the hotel’s handling of it. Our original room had visible stains on the bedding and marks in the bathroom area. After we raised our concerns, the hotel offered us a Deluxe Triple Room but required us to pay an additional JPY 6,600 for the “upgrade”. We paid, assuming that a replacement room provided after a cleanliness complaint would at least have been checked for cleanliness. Instead, after packing our belongings and moving from the 24th floor down to the 15th floor, we found an even larger visible stain on the bedding in the Deluxe room. There is a certain irony in paying extra to upgrade from a stained room to a more obviously stained one. It was certainly one of the more memorable hotel upgrades we have experienced. We photographed the stain and reported it promptly through Trip.com. By then, we had already spent a considerable amount of our holiday dealing with the problem, waiting for responses, packing and changing rooms, and we were checking out the following day. We had no desire to pack everything again and try a third room. We therefore requested only a refund of the JPY 6,600 upgrade fee, not a refund of our accommodation. The hotel declined, apparently because we had already occupied the Deluxe room. This is an interesting argument, since it would have been rather difficult to discover the stain without first entering the room. The location is excellent and the hotel makes an attractive first impression, but neither compensates for poor housekeeping and ineffective service recovery. We were not expecting luxury; we expected a clean room and competent handling when something went wrong. Instead, a cleanliness complaint resulted in us paying extra, moving to a lower floor, and receiving a replacement room with an even larger stain. After returning home, we decided that we had already spent enough of our holiday dealing with this matter. The JPY 6,600 is no longer worth any more of our time. For a hotel carrying the Hankyu name, we expected much better. We would not stay here again.

Convenient location High floor with good view Suggested to improve cusotmer service

The view is nice, my room is on 23F with excellent view. I love the gym room and the water dispenser on each floor. The only thing need to improve is about the self service laundry. It’s high demand and long queue everyday in the laundry room

Hotel is the most convenient stay near Osaka Station: it sits directly above JR Osaka Station’s Central Gate, so you step off the train and into the lobby without dragging luggage outside. Rooms are compact by Western standards but clean, quiet, and well‑equipped, with comfortable beds, city or courtyard views, and reliable free Wi‑Fi. The hotel’s real strength is location and service—staff are consistently praised as helpful and efficient, and you’re minutes from Umeda’s department stores, restaurants, and subway lines. On‑site dining ranges from casual cafes to higher‑end Japanese and Western options, plus a lounge bar; breakfast offers Japanese and Western choices. Ideal for transit‑heavy itineraries (Shinkansen at Shin‑Osaka, Kansai Airport via Haruka) and travelers who value time over large rooms.

Best spot in city center of Osaka close to the train and connect with the shopping mall. If you want to shop n get tax refund and go back to hotel and packing before your leave Japan. Im highly recommended this hotel. For the breakfast is ok. Lot of carbs but the shopping mall got lot of restaurants for your lunch and dinner

location is very good, it is just located above the shopping mall. also near the station. going to airport bus is also convenient. room is comfortable. only that many tourist to choose thus place
