HOTEL TOYO

I was only here for 2 nights. The room is small, but there is enough space. Made in Japanese style. All the walls and furniture are already old and battered by life. There are no towels, but they are available for rent. You can wash clothes for 100 Yen. There is no elevator. There are toilets and sinks on each floor, but showers are only on the first floor. It was comfortable for me to sleep on the tatami. Very close to the metro and station from the Nankai line from which I left for the airport in the next country. It's worth the money, even because they give you a private room.

The location is great just a couple of minutes walking from the train station. Front desk staff are very hospitable. There is no lift hence you need to consider your heavy luggage. The room is not sound-proof and you will clearly hear any outside the room. There is a bit of smelly things in the corridor

Close to the station and famous shrine.no complain for this price especially in japan.

I had a fantastic time at the Toyo Hotel. Every one of the personnel I encountered, from the valet to the check-in to the cleaning staff, was friendly and willing to assist! Thank you very much! Will recommend to my coworkers!

The hotel's location is strategic, just a short distance from Dōbutsuen-mae Station, making it convenient to access popular areas like Namba (only 2 stations away via the Midosuji Line) and Shin-Imamiya Station for those arriving from Kansai Airport. In terms of amenities, the main shower room is mixed gender, but there are also female-only shower rooms available (albeit limited, only 3 rooms). Each floor is equipped with mixed-gender toilets, and laundry facilities are accessible with coins. While the room itself was satisfactory, one downside was that noise from outside was audible, so guests are encouraged to maintain a quiet demeanor. However, the accommodation offers storage for luggage before check-in and after check-out, adding to the convenience of the stay. Additionally, for those interested in shopping or purchasing souvenirs, Mega Don Quijote is conveniently located nearby, providing a range of shopping options.

Great hostel, you will have a room for yourself, so confortable, best sleep you can have in a hostel without anyone waking you up in the middle of the night. Located in a strategic part of town but not a charming environment, the only thing you should try to avoid is getting a room in the higher floors since you won’t have an elevator and showers are located on the ground floor

Perfect spot to start a Japan trip. Helpful team and plenty of information in the lobby. Nice location in the city as well. Stayed 4 nights in the end.

Excellent place to stay for backpackers on a budget. In most cases offering a private air conditioned room for around what you would pay for a bunk. Nice common room to meet other travellers and share experiences, advice etc
