Well hotel is cheap and compared to price acceptable. So I use it every time I visit Ostrava.
This time however I got a room where toilet and bath is shared between 4 rooms. I didn't experience that either service were occupied when I needed to use them, but it's never good to share these facilities.

Hotel is quite close to center, 10 minutes by walk. There are 2-3 buildings around a courtyard and you may stay at one of them. Rooms were okay, wifi was okay. Carparking at courtyard costs 8€ per day however you may find available space on the street. It is free at night until 8:00 am. Altough I mentioned that I need parking space for 2 nights and they confirmed it there was no avaliable spaace for th 1st night. There was not so much variety for breakfast but it was satisfactory. Saloon for breakfast has nearly 10 tables and you need to hurry up for the other guests waiting for available seat.

We had reservation but sadly not for our car, because I did not read the confirmation letter froma top to bottom where they said that they need double booking for car. We arrived and let our car on the street where you can enter the courtyard of hotel - which was empty from cars and started to check in. Some car wanted to drive in so we said that let us in the yard end then we continue our check in. Front desk personal was rude and sent us to find parking space some half of mile away. We are 64 years old - they did not suggest that we can put our luggage to our room and then go and find parkind space in foreign city, so we sat in our car and drove away to Poland where we found polite people and stayed a very pleasant night. P.S there was police sign in front dest -that in this city Ostrava is high criminality - so don´t go there! there are rude hotel personal too!

Staff friendly enough, cheap easy option for exploring Ostrava.
Dated and tired decor.
Poor soundproofing, could hear other guests snoring and being intimate from our room.
Breakfast options basic but fine. Bread stale.

Good clean, reasonably priced hotel in safe, fine area with caring front desk help. Would stay there again absolutely.

Hotel located in the city center. Customer service at a high level and very friendly. Spacious room, standard equipped, very clean and tidy. Downstairs, you can have a delicious breakfast in the morning or order dinner. At the reception, you can also buy regional products or jewelery from local artists. We are very pleased and if we ever stay in Ostrava it is for sure at Hotel Maria.
