The Waters Inn

The Waters Inn was perfect, it’s a cute Ma & Pa establishment that is clean and quiet. Bob, the owner was friendly and the check in process was easy and quick. So nice to know that there are still businesses that are personable. Room was very clean and neat. Definitely would highly recommend and would stay here again. Thanks Bob

We found this great little gem in Waters MI while we were heading north to Mackinaw. We stayed in the golfing room as it was the last one available. The room was very neat and clean and perfect for our nights stay. Check in was very easy and communication with Bob was easy. Love supporting local businesses owners. We will be back if we are ever in the area!

Service was excellent. Owner was very accommodating for our needs. Room was great. Only issue was mattress was a bit hard for us but still wouldn’t deter us from staying there again. Area was perfect as well. Overall great place to stay Will definitely stay again as we go to that area often

Bob was a great host. Room was very clean and well maintained. Very quiet and relaxing. Very close to some some beautiful lakes and local restaurants. I would book again and recommend to friends. The motel is located close to the highway and just a few miles from Gaylord.

Rooms and service was absolutely wonderful! Bob is the best hoste you could ask for! My boyfriend and I got into a pinch and he went out of his way to help us. One of the nicest person you will ever meet.

I have been coming up to the Waters/Gaylord/Charlevoix area for over 20 years and this is the best "Mom and Pop" place in the area from Waters to Charlevoix. I stayed in the Golf themed room and it was EXTREMELY clean. You feel like you are staying in a nice up north cabin. Bob was friendly and check in was quick. Bob would check to see how you were doing in person and via email. The office is open during the day if you need extras like TP or a toothbrush. There is a nice patio in the back with a beach like theme to it. Nice patio furniture to relax to have a cold one or a morning coffee. There is a bonfire pit and a good sized backyard area. There is also seats to sit outside your room. The Keg bar is across the street (I have been there several times over the last 20 years) that serves very good food and big portions. There is a ice cream/pizza and sub place that is across the street. EZ-Mart is a minute away that has good Breakfast sandwiches. Waters Inn is not far away from Otsego lake and the park. It is also less than 10 miles from Downtown Gaylord and a few miles from The Natural Golf Course and Marsh Ridge. I will be staying here again in future visits.

First time there. Stayed in the "Bear" theme room. Arrived early, before regular check-in time. Owner was very accommodating. Was able to check in early, due to no one in that room. (was there mid-week) Nice, clean and neat room. Off the beaten path, so noise is not a problem. Not too far south of Gaylord, so easy access to many facilities. Definitely will stay there again.

I just drove all over Michigan and stayed in hotels throughout. I have to say, this place was my favorite stay! I usually stay in hotel chains, and my experiences this trip were less than stellar. It was a genuine relief to get to Waters Inn and park right outside my room and feel like I stayed at my nice grandpa and grandma's cabin. Is the bed the softest -- no. Was the shower huge -- haha - no. But my welcome was warm and my room impeccably clean. I'll stay again for sure and I can't say that for the pricey, big name hotels I stayed in the rest of my trip!
