Dionysos Hotel & Suites

I found the stay a bit odd. We would put the do not disturb sign on our door until 10am as we like to sleep in, but every morning the maids would let me selves in and start cleaning around us. The first time this happened we were asleep unclothed and we woke up to the maids in the bathroom. The bar was closed so often too just because it was raining. There is no restaurant as advertised, it is just the snack menu serving sandwiches, not a la carte at all.

Lovely hotel, and nice and modern. Bed was not very comfortable but apart from that there was nothing to complain about. Staff were very nice. The room was just like we expected and free WiFi. Breakfast could have been a little hotter but was still very nice

If you have booked this hotel, you have no worries. Lovely, modern place with friendly, very hard-working and efficient staff. Very clean. Plus points Friendly welcome from reception and she showed us to our room 287 Spacious room with separate toilet, washbasin and roomy, powerful shower. Bed linen and towels changed every day. Kettle and hairdryer supplied along with crockery, glasses plates etc if needed Comfortable, spacious beds Large balcony with garden furniture ie. sofa, two chairs and table. Varied breakfast buffet style Excellent pool bar food, ample portions and nice selection of drinks. Lovely pool, tad cold but you get used to it. Nice loungers. Pool area lovely although the music was annoying at times. The staff, who work incredibly long hours are the stars of this hotel...reception, cleaners, bar staff, restaurant staff, the general handyman/gardener, lifeguards, the waiting girls (hope I haven't left anyone off) Minus points No toaster in breakfast room!!!! so don't expect your daily toast. The pool doesn't open until 11 am (and I so wanted to get in before then) although the pool bar opens at 10 am. Can't think of anything else....it's a great place in the heart of everything. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for making our 14 day stay so wonderful.

Spent a week here in a superior double room on the ground floor. Room had plenty of space, the beds were so comfortable, perfect nights sleep were had! Modern bathroom with hair dryer and the towels were changed daily which was a lovely surprise. Pool was lovely and clean and the sun loungers were fab, was able to have a cheeky nap on them most days! What made the hotel so special though were the staff. Always so friendly, willing to have a chat and around the pool, the staff were amazing. Always walking around checking to see if you needed anything. Regarding breakfast, it could of been slightly better and definitely warmer but the food served at the pool was really good and very reasonable. Definitely recommend this hotel as so well placed for the town & the service was top notch.

Excellent clean modern hotel, rooms are bright with really good rainwater showers. Huge choice at buffet breakfast each day but what really makes this place special are the staff, they are so friendly and super attentive without being intrusive. Food and drinks at the pool bar are also excellent, would recommend Dionysos wholeheartedly. David Hogan, Wicklow, Ireland

The room was great, exactly what we were looking for. The breakfast was nice, no complaints there. The pool was clean and relatively spacious. Fascinated by the cleaning ladies, they seemed to be doing their job really well. The only downside is that we were in a room, adjacent to an amusement center to kids, which made it really loud at night. Luckily, they only worked until 23"00.

Just excellent! Everything is just great! We love this place, this is our 4th year here! The rooms are super ok and the beach is just 100 m from the hotel! The breakfast is awesome, and in the evening you can enjoy a near by taverna - Capani!

Me and my partner stayed here for a week. The apar**ent we stayed in 259 was beautiful. Really clean and everyday when we put the hanging sign out for the room to be cleaned they were always clean- fresh bedding and towels. However, they did not clean or replace cutlery which was used . Ie cups and glasses. We had a kettle also, however there was no coffee or tea bags. We went down to the reception to ask and we could see come tea bags in the restaurant areas and we asked if we could have some and the man behind reception acted like he didn’t know what we was on about and said no basically and was very blunt. The swimming pool and surrounding area is lovely and the food is really nice. However, one of the days we sat around the pool and we had a can of coke which we brought with us and a member of staff came over and told us we could not have this and all drinks have to be purchased at the bar. You can’t even bring your own drinks or water to the pool. So we went to the local supermarket and bought some water bottles and filled them up with our own cocktails as cocktails also at the bar are €10 each!!! And watered down!! The town is literally a two minute walk and everything is within close reach. There are beautiful restaurants with lovely food. Greek people are so friendly and nice too! If you stay here in Hanioti I recommend you book an excursion especially BLUE LAGOON it was AMAZING. You go on a pirate ship and you got around the he coast and visit 3 different beaches and they stop so you can swim in the water and swim to the beach. The man who own the boat is very funny and witty and makes the experience very funny! It’s €38 and you also get lunch on the boat too. I think apart from the downfalls of the staff and legislations Hanioti is a beautiful place and the hotel is placed in the perfect spot! Also please book the superior apar**ents as if you book the standard which we neatly did as it wasn’t clear you get the old rooms which a very dated. There is different parts of the hotel which is new and old.

My wife and I have only been here 2 days and I can say that this place is not a 3 star. We've stayed in hotels in Greece and Spain over the past few year that are 3 to 5 star ratings and this is one of the best. Clean, modern, great staff, fantastic facilities and we would both give the place 5 stars. If you're used to typical Greek accommodation and want something that little bit special, book this place. Its ideally situated too, minutes walk to lots of very nice bars and restaurants.
