My wife and I do 2 timeshare trips per year since 1994. This was the worst. We understand that timeshares are aging and we don't expect perfection. But the lack of maintenance, cleaning, and staff attentiveness was unacceptable. Broken glass in unit upon check-in. Sand in dryer. Smell in unit. Telephone was inoperable. Chain to door was inoperable. Key card to open door was not working. When we went to the front desk they sent maintenance up with us. Instead of fixing the issue they showed us how to do a handle jiggle, pause, up, down that would let us in. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it took 5 minutes of jiggling to get in. Carpet, couches, drapes extremely stained. Grime over everything. They gave us a ticket on our vehicle because the Parking tag was displayed on the dash and not hanging from rear view mirror. The tag was clearly visible. Security at night parked their car in the drop off area so you could not drop your family off and pull through. Elevators broke 3 times. When we addressed these things to front desk they were dismissive and acted like they did not care. Absolutely horrible. On a good note the location was excellent and the unit was very well laid out. The unit has an intercom in it to front desk. Very creepy. If they can talk into our unit there is a chance they can listen into our unit. In hindsight we should have called rci after day 1 and asked to be moved to another resort. This is the first time in 30 years I called rci to complain about a resort.
