"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Exceptional Stay at Sunrise Mountain View I had the absolute best stay at Sunrise Mountain View in Vang Vieng. From the moment we arrived, the receptionists made us feel so welcome. They were incredibly kind, always helpful, and genuinely tried to create conversation with us. It didn’t feel transactional at all ,they were just wholesome and warm people. The entire team was amazing, including security and the cleaners. The hotel was very clean, well-maintained, and felt safe throughout our stay. Breakfast was good and satisfying, with enough variety to start the day properly before activities. What really stood out was how helpful they were with everything. They helped us book our tours around Vang Vieng, arranged our train tickets to Luang Prabang, and even called a tuk-tuk for us whenever we needed one. It made our trip completely stress-free. I would 100% stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Vang Vieng. Thank you for making our trip so special!"

"Good value for money, and the breakfast is delicious. I'll definitely stay here again. Many people mentioned ants, but that's common in Southeast Asia. There certainly weren't hundreds of them. I imagine there was another reason for their presence. You wouldn't be able to stay at this price if there were absolutely no ants. Those are unfortunate comments."

"I chose Thavikun Hotel for my trip to Vang Vieng this time, and my overall stay exceeded expectations. The hotel's location is very convenient; you can experience Vang Vieng's unique karst landscape not far from the hotel, and the surroundings are relatively quiet at night, so you won't be disturbed by noise. The room was clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable, and it had good lighting and ventilation. The facilities were complete, with everything you need for a daily stay. The front desk staff were friendly, and both check-in and check-out were smooth. They also patiently answered any questions I had. After a day of exploring, it was nice to relax comfortably. I'm very satisfied with this hotel and would consider staying here again on my next visit to Vang Vieng. I also recommend it to friends traveling here."

"I am super glad to have stayed in M&M. They have a rooftop bar where I saw the balloons and paramotors over the sunset in nice scenary with a beerlao. The room is clean, the used materials are good, feels like a quality stay. The breakfast is fantastic. Fresh made buffet, veggie salad, fried rice with different side dishes, sticky rice, lao sausage, coconut sweets, and more you can eat 😅 the best breakfast I experienced in a longer time. Friendly staff at reception is welcoming you, also the cleaners are nice. I was staying on a Friday where they played music outside which was noticeable but didn't annoy me, I think it stopped around 11pm. I definitively can recommend this stay."

"I was very impressed with this accommodation. From the first step, I could tell that they pay great attention to detail here. The overall atmosphere is nice and cozy, making me feel truly relaxed, like I'm really on vacation. The room was super clean and well-arranged. All the facilities were complete and worked perfectly. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and the room itself was quiet, perfect for unwinding. Another thing that really impressed me was the staff's service. Everyone was polite and friendly, making it feel more like staying at a friend's house than a typical hotel. They provided excellent advice and full assistance with any questions I had, which made my entire stay smooth and stress-free. The location is also great; it's convenient for travel, and the surrounding area is pleasant and private, not too chaotic. It's suitable for both those looking for a quiet retreat and those who want to travel and find a good place to stay. Overall, it's excellent value for money: the room, cleanliness, service, atmosphere, and the care shown by the accommodation. Everything made a great impression from check-in to check-out. If I get a chance to come back to this area, this will definitely be one of my top choices for accommodation. Thank you to the accommodation and all the staff for taking such good care of me. It was a stay that left me with good feelings and wonderful memories. ❤️"

"A bizarre experience. Upon arrival, the manager immediately tried to sell us an “upgraded river view for $20” if we were unhappy with our room. We thought this as odd, but decided to check-in to our room regardless. After 5 minutes in the room, we noticed faeces all over the toilet - it clearly had not been cleaned. I complained to the manager and asked to change room. He gave is a room higher up in the hotel, but also reattached to “upgrade” me to a different option for $20. This was not appropriate after having been checked into an uncleared room."

"The hotel has a limited number of rooms, but the riverside setting is lovely. There's a pool in the center of the courtyard, surrounded by comfortable lounge chairs. Next to the pool are a restaurant and bar; enjoying a drink while watching the sunset over the river—you can even see paragliders!—it's very chill (but be sure to spray mosquito repellent!!!). Every evening, the hotel delivers a small treat to your room: coconut cake or chocolate brownie. Upon entering the room, I was greeted by a pleasant lemon tea scent, and essential oils were burned in the room: it would be even better if they continued to burn them for the next few days."

The hotel is a little away from the city centre. Clean but not super neat. I stay there with kids which I found the place is not very suitable for me since they allowed their guest to use large speakers until 11 pm and it was in front of my tent. I told them to manage but I lastly need to get involve and confront them myself to sort it out. Not very well managed on this matter but they tried to do everything to apologize in the morning. The hotel was ok the view was exceptional only if they manage this a little bit better would be superb place to stay. [I stayed there late of the year it might be the party timing may or may not occur all the time of the year]

Very nice and clean. The bed is comfortable and the wifi is strong. There's more than enough deck chairs around the pool and on the rooftop to lounge at, and to watch the countdown fireworks that the staff launch from the entrance. The staff is very friendly and welcoming every time I walk past the lobby. The location is very convenient and the breakfast is very worth the price. Other than the buffet on offer (which rotates daily), you can still choose an item off the ala carte menu. They also allow refilling of water bottles at breakfast, which is great for both the wallet and the environment. Activities and laundry service that they offer are also priced pretty conveniently. I'll definitely stay here again should I come back to Vang Vieng.

My friend and I recently enjoyed a stay at this hotel in Vang Vieng, and it truly was an unforgettable experience. The hotel offered a breathtaking view that set the perfect backdrop for our getaway. One morning, we were treated to the magical sight of hot air balloons drifting across the sky, adding an extra layer of wonder to our stay. The location couldn’t have been better, providing easy access to local restaurants and cultural sights. The friendly and attentive staff ensured our comfort throughout our visit, making us feel right at home. If you’re looking for a mix of scenic beauty and warm hospitality, this hotel in Vang Vieng is an excellent choice.

Absolutely amazing stay - it's clear that the owners take pride in their hotel. The pool and pool area is incredibly clean. The breakfast is fantastic, fresh fruit (varied and lots of it) contained in a fridge (so fresh, cold and no bugs like a lot of other hotels). Option of cooked breakfast every morning (eggs your way). The gentleman running the hotel is so helpful, he booked several tours for us, getting us a good price and being patient when we changed our plans several times. The communal areas are incredibly clean, the staff are always working hard doing something for the hotel. The location is excellent - walkable to everything in Vang Vieng, near some nice restaurants (Green, Vela, beats and bites). Everything in the room worked perfectly. The shower had great pressure and great temperature. Bed was extremely comfortable and the TV was loaded with apps to watch TV (we used Plex as it had English language shows and films). The bathroom has soap, shampoo and fresh towels daily. The rooftop is amazing, we actually used this instead of going to rooftop bars. The hotel sells beer in the fridge at reception. Highly highly recommend this hotel. Genuinely we could not find any fault with this hotel at all, we over heard many guests booking to stay extra nights expressing how happy they were with the stay at the hotel and the breakfast.

Wonderful hotel! Cozy, clean bungalows. We had a bungalow with a magnificent mountain view from both the bathroom and the balcony. The bathroom has a Jacuzzi tub, which we used several times and really enjoyed! The room had all the amenities and was quiet. The hotel is generally located a bit off the main road, so it's quiet on the property. The only minor issue was the limited food options at breakfast. There aren't many guests at the hotel, so it seems they only set out a small buffet and don't replenish it once the food runs out. We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would gladly come back again.

Every time I visit Vang Vieng, I used to stay at Winfresh Hotel, but this time I booked Sisombath Plaza Hotel because I heard their breakfast was good. The rooms and the pool were clean, and the parking lot was spacious. The breakfast was also quite good and satisfying. I think I'll be staying at this hotel whenever I come to Vang Vieng from now on. I had a great stay.

I had a very pleasant stay at Kinton Hotel. The staff were one of the highlights of my experience; everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. The hotel itself was very clean, well-maintained, and centrally located, which made getting around and exploring the area very convenient. The main area I believe could use some improvement is the breakfast. While the quality was average overall, the selection felt somewhat limited and lacked some typical breakfast staples. At a minimum, I would have appreciated options such as scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, and a wider variety of quality protein choices. Many of the available dishes were quite greasy and carbohydrate-heavy, with relatively few lighter or protein-focused options.

The hotel is not quite new, that is obvious. The mirror on the room was missing, broken out by force. There is no WiFi except in the reception area. The photo of the building shows balconies at all rooms on the photo side. But my room had none. There was no daily room service. For the rest it was okay. Well maintained, clean, quiet inside and mountain view from the windows. Small fridge, AC, full working bathroom. (Long waiting for warm water) The breakfast buffet was great. The swimming pool in front of the entrance was good. The seating area around poor. I really missed a bigger and nicer area, perhaps garden like around. Especially for I had no balcony. I would go there again for sleeping and having breakfast. But for holidays I want to have a decent place outdoors as well.

The stay was okay, but unfortunately the staff were not very friendly and didn’t even greet guests, which made me feel unwelcome. Also, the prices for renting a scooter were almost twice as high as at other places nearby. Overall, it was fine, but I expected a warmer atmosphere and fairer prices.

Vang Vieng is a small town, and you can easily walk everywhere. It rained the entire time I was there, so I didn't get to see any hot air balloons. However, I could see longtail boats passing by the hotel's riverside every morning. I didn't visit any of the further attractions because I thought it would be unsafe to go into the mountains with the rain. Overall, it was a good experience; even with the rain, enjoying a Lao hotpot in town was quite nice.
