"We chose this place by reviews and for its location. When we arrived we had to sign an agreement with the property rules which are in abundance: from “no outside food or drinks at the property” to fines for stained towels and sheets. Though there are “shhh” signs everywhere I woke up both mornings of our stay because someone was walking and talking loudly right outside our door. The room is really small close to tiny, there’s no fridge (ok, that’s the type of room without one), the safe didn’t work but the friendly and helpful staff kindly stored our valuables in theirs. The place is beautifully located and the food is ok."

"We stayed four nights at Casalay Boutique Villas and Dive and overall had a wonderful experience. The location is truly special – stunning views, beautifully designed villas, a very well-kept property, and breathtaking sunsets by the pool or from the terrace. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing, perfect for a luxurious getaway. Be aware that getting there can be a bit tricky. Buses from Manila to Batangas City run regularly, but the last ferry departs at 4 PM. Make sure to plan your trip accordingly – we ran into some issues because of this. The food is more expensive than local options, but very clean and easily adaptable to vegetarian needs. While the vegetarian menu is limited, the manager was very accommodating and open to adjustments, which we truly appreciated. There are plenty of activities: a paid boat transfer to Secret Bay, trips to Sabang, diving, massages, and more. Just keep in mind to clarify whether you book activities through the hotel or third-party providers, as prices can vary and surcharges are common. Some small downsides: our room was only cleaned on two of the four days, which didn’t meet the highest hygiene standards, and the beach could be a little cleaner. Still, we had a very enjoyable stay. The combination of friendly staff, beautiful setting, and unique location makes this hotel highly recommendable."

"The resort is nestled in a quiet harbour within a small village just a short distance from Puerto Galera — you can reach the town in about 10 minutes by tricycle for 50 pesos. The property sits right on the waterfront, with its courtyard opening directly onto the bay. The setting is incredibly serene, cosy and picturesque. The grounds feature plenty of relaxing spots: comfortable chairs, sun loungers and hammocks where you can unwind. We especially loved the chair near the large tree — it was the perfect place to relax! The sea near the resort is a bit murky due to local currents, so not many people swim here. However, this isn’t an issue at all, as you can quickly and affordably reach the stunning beaches of Sabang (I highly recommend La Laguna) by tricycle — or even on foot if you’re up for a walk. During low tide, you can explore the seabed right near the hotel. The resort also has a small swimming pool, and despite other guests staying there, we never had any trouble finding space to take a dip. The rooms are clean and well‑maintained, featuring a small kitchenette, stylish bathrooms and even a bathtub. We stayed on the ground floor, so we occasionally noticed small ants and once spotted a gecko — but they never caused any inconvenience. Please note that the air conditioning is rather weak, so the room might feel a bit stuffy or not quite cool enough at times. There’s both a ceiling fan and a standing fan available, though, and overall the accommodation was comfortable. The on‑site restaurant offers a wide selection of dishes for breakfast and other meals, with prices typical for a resort area. We were very pleased with the food. The staff are attentive, always smiling and eager to help. During our week‑long stay, the resort wasn’t crowded, which made for a truly relaxing experience — you really get what you came for. Occasionally, local guests can be a bit noisy, laughing loudly or singing karaoke, which might disturb your sleep or meditation. However, this is not the resort’s fault, and it’s still relatively quiet compared to other spots around Puerto Galera, such as White Beach. What could be improved: 1) Flip‑flops. It’s odd that a seaside resort doesn’t offer free flip‑flops like most similar places do — they only rent them out here. Even budget hotels usually provide this small convenience. 2) Charge for outside food. Corkage fees are normal, but charging an extra 150 pesos for any outside food is too much. Even though we weren’t charged, the mere existence of such a rule makes the resort look stingy. This rule should be removed. 3) Wi-Fi was dead almost all of the time. Don’t rely on it. Thanks to the Blue Crystal Resort for a nice stay! I highly recommend it."

"Let's go in order) Pros: + Incredibly polite staff and owner. Helped organize excursions, order a taxi and resolve any issues, provided a transfer from the hotel, brought everything you need before your vacation. Even helped buy a ferry ticket in advance! Simply perfect staff, I have never seen such service in any hotel)) + You can always call reception from the hotel, and you can easily catch any in the city back + The beach is 5 steps away, especially if you take a room on the 1st floor with a sea view, you can walk barefoot from your room to the beach in a few steps + We only saw one or two couples occasionally from the guests and that's it, as if the hotel was just for us Cons: - [ ] I would like sun loungers on the beach and by the pool, where you can lie down (with an umbrella). Now they provide beach chairs, but you can't sit on them for long, and in principle, if you take a room not on the 1st floor with a sea view, you can only sit on beach chairs on the hotel grounds (upon request). This also needs to be improved) - [ ] The room is new, everything is nice, new, but there was no refrigerator, safe, wardrobe. Despite the fact that there is enough space in the room for all these amenities) - [ ] Breakfast is not a buffet, only 3 types, scrambled eggs with bacon, beef and pork. In principle, we are not picky, it is enough for us, but those who stay here for a longer time will go crazy from such a choice (but we found a very tasty cafe with breakfasts, though you need to walk a little, more on it below) - The hotel is on a steep descent, walking up the mountain is a bit of a sporting activity) but there is nothing near the hotel (except for 1 cafe in km Bayview, with the only normal coffee on the island (from a coffee machine) and the most delicious chicken sandwich in the world!!!) and so, only the road along which you can walk a little, and then there are already a lot of cars and serpentines, you will not be able to go along it, since there are no paths for people. Therefore, either sit in the hotel, or take a tuk-tuk and go to neighboring settlements, which costs from 300₽ to 600₽ depending on where you are going) And so everything is super, thanks to the owner"

"I have stayed at this hotel during my three PG diving trips. It has been three or four years since the epidemic started, but the front desk still recognizes me! The hotel environment is elegant and quiet, with a wide view of the sea. The small bar, billiard table, swimming pool and restaurant can be used for leisure. It feels good to drink and chat with the housekeeper or foreigners. The shortcomings are that the room configuration is old (but still clean) and the window air conditioner is noisy."

"The staff are really awesome and make up for the lack of amenities. It’s a little pricey for what they offer but the location has the best part of the beach. The WiFi does need to be worked on. Was in and out a lot of the time. The rooms are modern but really tiny. We stayed for 4 nights and couldn’t wait to leave because of the room size. All in all, I do recommend the place because of the location and the awesome staff."

"The staff were friendly, the place was clean, the location was great, and they even arranged a tuk-tuk to get to town and shuttle us to the airport. Everything was perfect! The food in the restaurant was delicious. We had a relaxing New Year's holiday with our family. The cats were also very relaxing. I'd love to come back."

"Huge disappointment. I had selected this hotel to take advantage of its immediate seaside location. But the strange layout of the hotel means that most of the rooms overlook the corridor, requiring the curtains, which are blackout curtains, to be closed. Result: from a super bright room with possibly a sea view that you were hoping for, you find yourself in a completely dark room. There is therefore no point in being by the sea. (Photos taken with the door open and curtains open). The general quality of the hotel is average, and the prices charged are therefore excessive. Room size ok, but: - no chair or table available. You only have your bed to sit on, eat, work,... - noisy air conditioning, which you therefore cannot leave running at night if you want to sleep properly. - wardrobe, but no coat rack in it. - a refrigerator, but which does not get cold, or even heats up. - no shower gel available in the shower No problem with cleanliness. Good quality bedding also. Simple breakfast, served on a plate. Not a hotel where I will return and which I do not necessarily recommend either."

"The hotel room is very clean. They do not provide thick quilts, only a very thin sheet, which will wake you up from the cold at night. The room is powered by solar panels, and the high-power air conditioner is often disconnected at night. There are two swimming pools downstairs in the hotel, which are not very deep and can be used for practicing diving. The hotel's breakfast is okay, but the price is slightly more expensive than other 4-star hotels on the island. The waiters will keep smiling. If you want to eat in the hotel, please note that it is not recommended if you are very hungry, because their chefs are very good at cooking. Slow, you have to wait for at least 40 minutes, and except for breakfast, other dishes are not very delicious, compared to the restaurants on Sabang Beach. The waiters are very ignorant and won't pour you water. Even if you ask them for a glass of water, they won't arrange it after the meal, and they won't prepare paper towels for you. You can find them to go diving in the hotel, but their boat will not wait for you after taking you to the diving spot. This is very unfriendly. If your accompanying companion does not want to dive, he will have to float on the sea first, which is very unsafe. The diving instructor is very professional and patient, which is very good. The last point I have to complain about is that I asked the hotel to help me book the ferry ticket. The 3:30 ferry ticket was a full hour and 30 minutes late, and the one I booked was not a fast boat but a big boat. This was very detrimental to my future travels. friendly. Overall, this hotel is worth it, clean and sanitary, and professional diving instructors. It's just that the hotel's service needs to keep up."
