My husband and I stayed at Kohls Ranch in March. It is quaint with historical photos throughout the Ranch. It is not a Doubletree or Hyatt. If you stay here, you stay here for the beauty and simplicity. You stay here to appreciate the kind and friendly personnel and the history of the Ranch. The room was clean with a full kitchen. Wifi was a bit spotty, but good enough. Staying at Kohls Ranch is fantastic, if you want to get away and enjoy the beauty of the area. Hiking area across the road. We will be make additional reservations here soon.

The website that secured our reservation was for a King Sized Suite, but when we got there the hotel told us that us.trip.com stated 'whatever available', even though our res was for a King. Anyways - the staff made some phone calls and we lucked out because someone cancelled at the last second and they got us our room we originally ordered. It was stunning and we will be back, just not thru us.trip.com.

It is a small property well outside of town. Minigolf was actually a putting green. The fireplace in the room was an electric knock off that failed to output heat. There was a weird sewage smell the morning we left. They also charged an additional resort fee that claimed to cover parking, wifi and other amenities that were listed as included in the property listing. A resort fee in season when there are daily activities being offered would make sense, but out of season it was uncalled for.

It's away from everything. Quiet and clean. Good food at the little restaurant. Kind people at check in and out. Great price for what you get. No issues

Only issue is poor wifi. We have been visiting kohls for over 30 years. We know that cell coverage is poor. Which means WiFi effectiveness is more important. As with previous trips WiFi is not great, but it has gotten worse. I guess my increased expectation of Hilton ownership is unrealistic.

Everything in our room an on the grounds was well thought out for a relaxing stay. Couldn't be happier with our stay.

It was so beautiful right next to the stream. The bed was so comfortable I slept like a baby. Beautiful property I highly recommend!

Peaceful and serene, this is an old style mountain lodge, nestled in the White Mountains. It’s about 20 minutes out of Payson. The room had been updated, and was clean, warm and comfortable. The property backs onto the Tonto river, and you can walk down to the water. The only dining option was the hotel restaurant for dinner, which was decent, but unexceptional. We had been informed there were no breakfast options, and came prepared with microwaveable meals. Otherwise, a drive into Payson is required.

The cabins at Kohls Ranch Lodge is such a relaxation getaway, especially those on the creek. Rustic, clean, and well supplied for kitchen use. Short drove from Payson. Be certain to dome at Diamond Pointe steakhouse, you wont be disappointed.
