Mar Hotels Paguera & Spa

Myself and my daughter spent a week here starting the 26th September. On entering the hotel reception, you can see that it's a 4 star hotel. However that's where it ended. Our room was spotlessly clean,not a speck of dust anywhere, full credit to the house keeping team. The pool area is far to small for the size off the hotel. Food was average. The snacks during the day was sandwiches and fruit in a fridge by the bar,not what we were expecting from other reviews. Bar area is cold and uninviting, no comfortable seating or music in the back ground. Only one person working at the bar. Queued for 30 minutes most nights,then to be served your drink in plastic cups. No nice seating outside in the evening only a few chairs that had been used during the day and tables never cleaned. Cant comment on the entertainment as this was in a room under the dining room,strange place to have it. As it was the end of the season it didn't seem to have enough staff. Therefore in the dining room,you helped yourselves to beer and bottles of wine,and often there were no clean cups or cutlery. Wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Absolutely incredible in all ways. The staff had absolutely blown me away by their uplifting genuine happiness , the vibe was absolutely incredible. Food was amazing, incredibly safe and calm. 1000/10

All staff -thank you for your hard work.It was a fantastic holiday-food and drinks was delicious, staff very helpfull.We really enjoyed our time in the hotel.Close to the beach and Paguera centre.The only issue was broken air condition on our level .

The main positive aspect is that the staff is very kind. On the other hand, it looks more like a 3 stars hotel than a 4 stars. The drinks and coctels are not good at all, the quality of the buffet is quite mediocre and there's a lot of bees at the pool, if you or your kids are afraid of bees and wasps, it's not your hotel.

Positive Points: - TRIPLE room in Block 2 is amazing! Only 4 floors, sea view and pool view. No elevator/ lift traffic!! Room 2401 has view to 2 pools and ocean view - the Spa is more like a giant jacuzzi - it is so much fun! - close to a STUNNING, clean, uncrowded beach! The Torà Beach and next to it La Romana Beach which is excellent for snorkelling. - nice pool without loud music playing = PARADISE. - pool bar/lounge bar has GREAT cocktails in All Inclusive. The sangria is really so good and also enjoyed the pina colada slush. - Access to the apar**ent block's round pool. Very quiet and PEACEFUL a**osphere. - food is reasonable. Loved the tex mex chips at Mexican themed dinner. Quality ICE CREAMS for all meals even at snack time. Negative Points: - Staff is not friendly! Very grumpy female staff at reception. No professionalism whatsoever!! The only staff that smiled and greeted at us were the cooks at the restaurant and the cleaners! - a young waitress was very rude twice ! Unfortunately not wearing a name tag

We had an amazing time at This Spa Hotel. It was so relaxing. The food was excellent with lots of choice with daily changes. The entertainment team worked very hard and were full of fun, very pleasant and cheerful. The restaurant and bar staff also worked very hard and were very pleasant and helpful. We won a Free Facial on the quiz night. Beatrice did my facial and it was amazing. It was so relaxing, the products smell beautiful, she was very attentive a true professional. I can honestly say it is the best facial I’ve ever had. Hopefully we will return in the future and I will definitely be booking another facial with Beatrice.

Location: The hotel is about a half hour drive away from Palma airport with private taxi costing 60-70 euros. Private transfers about 11 euros per person. First visit to Paguera, and it had a nice chilled vibe compared to other areas in Majorca I’ve visited. The hotel is is just a few minutes walk to the beach which is lovely and clean - and a few minutes to the ***** wirh lots of shops and bars and restaurants. Hotel: lovely and clean inside. We saw/used the main reception, two pools (one is next to the bar, second up at the apar**ents with a smaller pool bar) downstairs area with entertainment, spa area, Outside sports area and shower room. Staff: The staff member checking us in (forgot his name) was lovely and friendly. Showed us the restraint and offered us sandwiches and soft drinks/water. He then took us to our apar**ent building which usually doesn’t happen with other hotels/apar**ents we’ve stayed at. Bar staff and restaurant staff were all friendly and lovely too. Animation staff really did make the effort with everyone. Happy boy, Sergio and Lara were on the ball from morning to evening. Both happy boy and Sergio had the dance moves to keep up with my friend at the evening entertainment. Food: For an all inclusive we were not disappointed with the selection or quality of the food. Breakfast - There was fruit, cereals, hot breakfast items, breads and pastries, teas, coffees, juices etc. lunch and dinner had show cooking too with pancakes, omelettes, fish and meats. Good selection of vegetarian and pescatarian options along with meat dishes. You will not go hungry and there was no rubbery, dry or stale food, all fresh and perfectly cooked. Activities and entertainment: We took part in the archery and table tennis hosted by Sergio. There was a children’s club too but as we didn’t have children we didn’t visit. Evening entertainment was fine, it was a singer on the two nights we were there followed by a disco. The area is fairly small compared to bigger hotels, but was fine. I think the entertainment was only fine as there was a tough audience watching with only a handful really getting into it, which was a shame. Overall we enjoyed our time here and wouldn’t hesitate coming back. We came from Scotland and there was a mix of nationalities there, so it was different to other areas where it’s usually full of British tourists.

Hotel Mar Paguera & Spa is a very good choice to spend your holidays with family or friends. The hotel is located in the beautiful town of Paguera not far from the beach. The food is at the highest level, there was something different every day, which is an advantage of the hotel kitchen. The hotel has 2 buildings, the main building and apar**ents, they are properly equipped, the upper floors have a beautiful view of the surrounding area, which gives a wonderful a**osphere at any time of the day. A very strong point of the hotel is the qualified staff who have an extremely charismatic group of animators who make every effort to ensure the well-being of guests. They are very positive, warm and full of passion and commi**ent to what they do. The animation program is easy to read and interesting, in which children and adults can take part. My rating of Hotel Mar Paguera & Spa is very high, I heartily recommend it.
