Signature Suites

Wanted a little get away this weekend and I found this hotel to be the perfect location. I’m a perfectionist when it comes to hotel rooms but I just couldn’t fault it! Clean, tidy and great service from all staff. It’s not too far from the city centre, is near by to Peterborough’s new theatre and was able to enjoy my visit there without the worry of costs to get home. I found the whole hotel to be very stylish, my cup of tea😄.

Firstly, when we arrived we tried to access the main reception door after the third time of pressing the open button we then saw a small sign to the right of another door about calling on the intercom. The person we spoke with over the intercom we found rude & impatient. We gained access to the building, picked up our key from the unmanned reception desk and went through to our room (your room welcome book states the reception is manned). We do understand this may be more of a personal preference when arriving somewhere, but we had expectations that we would of been greeted with a warm welcome and a smile. As we opened the room door we felt the cold air instantly hit us, considering there was an horrific storm happening outside, my partner checked that the windows hadn’t been left open. He went turn the radiator up but this still did not work. He went to the air con unit which had a heating setting on it, so after 5 minutes of trying to work out how to use it he decided to leave it on the settings chosen and hope that the room would be warm on our return from our evening out. So, what is better than a cup of tea to warm you up? As I have opened the bin to throw the teabag… well it was still full!! This shocked me!! There was paper bags and tin foil trays as well as other rubbish filled to the top. This had me questioning where else is still dirty? Not to my surprise but the bathroom bin hadn’t been emptied either, with used sanitary products in there. By this time we had been within the room for a total of 20 minutes and I was rather upset after having booked this suite months prior, my partner tried calling on the intercom in the reception area 3 times and it only replied asking to leave a voicemail message. At this point we knew that we would not be able to stay and have a good experience within your facility. What was meant to be an enjoyable evening away, as our belated valentines gift. We are both left very frustrated and upset with the lack of service and cleanliness. After reading such highly rated reviews online, we was both excited to spend time within your facility. I also found the room we had been given was small & did not look like the photos on the website, I would have much rather paid less & booked into a larger travelodge. (Atleast we would of known what to expect). Unfortunately, we will not be recommending you further and do not plan to use your rooms in future when visiting Peterborough. We hope you are able to rectify these issues for future customers you may have, as if this is your standard of one of your Deluxe suites then I am glad I upgraded from one of you standard suites.

It was the best place I’ve stayed at in Peterborough so far. Clean, nice, and central. Only criticisms are the shower door was broken/not attached properly ( I expect this was a previous resident and hasn’t been noticed yet) and that the double bed was 2 singles with a double sheet over it, so I kept waking up falling down the middle! But with that said, it was a decent place and I will likely return.

Very disappointed with Signature Suites. Booked this as a short getaway for our 29th wedding anniversary. The deluxe apartment is not as advertised and in my opinion one room is not an apartment!! Write up says fully equipped kitchenette, a microwave and a two ring hob, tiny sink which has no plug is hardly fully equipped. Dining area, as is advertised, is the bench in under the tv screen and if you pull the chairs out they are against the end of the bed. Toilet seat was loose, shower seals were full of water mould, grouting missing in En suite tiles, no entertainment centre as advertised. When I complained I was told you can have a full refund and go elsewhere!! Stubbed out toes several times on the door wedge that is right by the kitchenette. Absolutely ruined our anniversary. Stayed for three nights, room never serviced and tea and coffee facilities not replenished.

Kitchen facilities were excellent. The instructions to operate the safe was not user friendly. The toilet roll holder fixings was loose. Finally, the ceiling sound proofing was inadequate. The flat above me, you can hear them walking across the wooden flooring and talking, kept me up half the night.

Great place to stay in Peterborough, reception lady was lovely. Great location and price… would have liked a glass in my room but that was very miner!

Great place to stay, all the staff were fantastic. Very close to the city center. Would recommend again.

It was a pleasant stay and accomodation was very clean.
