Willow House Inn B&B

We had the pleasure of staying at the Inn with Hosts Brenda and George the night before our anniversary. The welcome was warm, the room was comfortable and the breakfast the next morning was delicious! But what really made the stay special was the natural ease and grace that Brenda and George interacted with us and all their guests! The anniversary card at breakfast was a pleasant touch! Thank you for sharing your inviting Inn with us!

We had a lovely one-night stay at this historic inn. Brenda and George were gracious hosts, and the Willow Room was most comfortable. Delicious breakfast and helpful advice from our hosts and other guests about route planning. A great way to start our Maritimes vacation! And supper at the Harbour House nearby was terrific (probably the best lobster roll I had on the whole trip).

Hosts Brenda and George are unpretentious welcoming folks. We felt right at home immediately on arrival. They helped us with all our questions about the local area. Our room was clean and well appointed. The house has nice garden area for sitting/relaxing. The waterfront, restaurants and Hector Museum are an easy walk from the property. Breakfast was very good, prepared with care and presented nicely. At breakfast Brenda took the time to introduce fellow lodgers to one another. The only problem with our visit is we should have stayed another night to enjoy Brenda and George's hospitality and to explore the local area some more.

This is an exceptionally nice B&B in a stunningly beautiful historical building. We had come across this place almost by chance as we had to make some last minute changes to our travel plans and had to stay in Pictou - and we're so glad we did, as Pictou is a great little town with so much to see and this B&B is a true gem. Everything was absolutely clean and furniture and decorations were very tasteful and in perfect harmony with the architecture. It is apparent that the hosts, Brenda and George, pay great attention to detail. They were very helpful and friendly, we felt so much at ease there. Breakfast was delicious, too. We enjoyed our stay very much and regret we couldn't stay longer - thanks for having us!

Fabulous stay, sadly only one night. Our room, the Willow, was spacious, comfortable & sparkling clean. Brenda & George were welcoming hosts & provided a wonderful breakfast in the morning. Pictou itself is a delight, small, quaint & with a good selection of restaurants.

Brenda and George have a great B&B! The space they have here feels comfortable and homey. Great breakfast in the morning and walking distance to restaurants in town. They have a conversation with you when you check in and ask any food preferences for the next day.

Just spent a lovely evening at this B&B and can’t say enough great things about my experience! It’s centrally located and a short walk to the harbour where there are many restaurants to choose from. My room was spacious and had the comfiest bedsheets. Breakfast was delicious - customized fritatas , toast with haskap berries and the yummiest rhubarb muffins. Brenda and George were so warm and helpful. If you plan to stay in Pictou, this is the place!

Worthy of five star rating! The Inn Keepers, Brenda and George are so friendly, kind and welcoming. The Maple Room we stayed in on the second floor was lovely; a spacious, nicely decorated room with a comfortable king bed. The breakfasts were so delicious and plentiful! Location of the Inn was convenient with views of the ocean. Would definitely go there again.

This was the best B&B experience we have ever had. Thank you for being such wonderful hosts Brenda and George. Right from our first telephone conversation with Brenda we knew that we would be happy with our choice of where to stay in Pictou. The home is so beautifully decorated. Our bed was very comfortable and the room was a perfect temperature at night. They supply a fan if needed. We didn't watch TV but to have Netflix offered was a pleasant surprise. We had our own bathroom which was perfect. The shower had great pressure and the water was nice and hot. Everything was super clean and was in great shape. Thanks for the tips on where to eat downtown too. A short walk along the water and you arrive in the quaint little village. There are lots of choices here of places to eat as well as shops and museums. There is a wonderful new museum where you can learn all about the arrival of the first ships from Scotland 250 years ago! Coffee and tea are offered all day long. Breakfast in the morning was made to order and was fabulous. We had delicious French toast made by George. Plenty of everything and we even were given little bags so we could take our home made muffins with us on the road. So thoughtful. Another plus about staying here is that it is a short drive to the ferry terminal to catch the ferry to PEI. Would highly recommend staying here.
